  1. Ohh am i living in a dream world MD? Honda's are slow are they? says you who has wrecked his sol with hideous ricer mods don't blame the car or its make ,while you sir have ruined your de sol with those crappy mods. You should probably decide on selling your de sol to some one who actually has a greater passion for Honda's than you do (currently looks like you don't have any lol). I'd stick with Honda for a long time to come
  2. Once your Type r integra is done get JDM NHRA tow hook decal like in my civic which is a must have for track days. (Hope you'll be seeing and setting some awesome track times in that beast ) and don't forget the prius hating decal lool (downshift at every traffic light when a prius pulls up)I'll link you up to ebay you can buy them from there
  3. Sad to hear about that Honda's are JDM muscle, they should be loved and cared for not destroyed with hideous modifications, sad to hear MD's wrecking his sol with bad mods if properly tuned the sol can be a good track/street car any day
  4. Yeah got what you were trying to say cheers buddy ohh so MD deep down is a honda lover as well. gotta love the honda's ay komis
  5. Picture update****** VTECH brothers meet up this picture was taken a while ago (the prius sticker is not on and the drift toy was more of a plush toy loool) the car was parked down at my university and both cars were gathering quite a bit of attention from the by passers the other civic was of the exact same series, the owner had changed the interior, added recaro bucket seats and a Type r steering wheel. the body was sprayed jet black in color (even though there were some areas in the roof that was sunburnt ) his car was still higher than mine i think his was sitting on stock shocks (you can imagine how low my baby really is ) enjoy guys!
  6. Well that sir is your opinion keep thinking of how "real men" drive corolla's lol. Got nothing against a good old corolla. But saying Honda's for ricers and posers..... I think many people will disagree with you for that down here at the AL forum
  7. Hey guys got a new photo that i need to add how to you upload pictures onto AL forum? its not in a URL form just sitting as a JPEG on my desktop :/
  8. Yeah you got a good point komis
  9. I probably could give hundreds of reasons why the brand "Honda" not a particular model is better than a "Mazda" but right now I really cant be bothered lol, not that I havent got the info just can't be bothered lol
  10. Yeah will upload some more pics soon yeah komis's integra type r convo would look awesome when done and probably be the first 4 door type r in sri lanka. Yeah might find a B16A and parts and ship them to sri lanka, or simply buy a half cut from the auctions here
  11. Well if you smell unburnt petrol it might be the intake manifold since the car overheated there might be a hair line crack that might have been made, even thought the manifold is made to handle harsh and rough conditions and since the car is a 92 it might need a new manifold (remove the shield and check for cracks on the manifold) . Hondas can take good thrasing and still go hard for years but your civic has had too many from it's previous owner, wayyyy too many
  12. Thea article wasn't meant to comapre a civic and familia, it was used to prove that a used Honda holds the number one reliability position as a car
  13. Nice beemer you got there I saw the paint job and the mods done to the lights looks good buddy by the way hows that Accord that you own going?
  14. Well here in Australia they had a recall made last year which was 2012 cant remember the month exactly hope that sums up "recent"
  15. Im sure Mazda has had numerous recalls made on there cars as well
  16. Heys guys, I need help in finding an actual JDM parking decal for my car (the customs debadged it when it was imported ) I know you see these everywhere in sri lanka but where can I actually get one peel'd off from (without stealing from someone's car )
  17. yup thats right the EG3 also comes in a model called "Breeze" but its got a carb engine (1.3L), the EG4 (which is mine) comes with a D15B VTECH
  18. what if i get all the paper work from the Australian customs? they have one of the worlds highest quarantine standards. The civic had gone through road worthy and enviromental hazard laws and standards when it was imported from japan, if i can get those paper work would it help a bit?
  19. Have a read on this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/9426806/And-the-most-reliable-used-car-is....html Mazda currently holds 6th place tied up with hyundai and mitsubishi there has been indepth research "proper standard research" , where Honda has claimed the top spot for the most reliable used car .Where mazda has been pushed down to the 6th place....
  20. The B3 is a 1.3L and the B5 is a 1.5L I think these fuel econ figures were off an auto transmission. it pretty much depends on how you drive and the traffic conditions, city driving in heavy traffic with a/c can use more juice . Considering the engines 1.5 L has more power than the 1.3 L and if power isnt your main concern and the fuel economy is go for the 1.3L even though you would lack a few BHP's
  21. I'm looking into shipping my baby over to sri lanka one day i heard that the tax has been reduced on cars built for the track. If so the EG will have a roll cage fitted and that B16A put in This might take serveral years to happen hopefully that tax rate stays down lol As it is a comfortable 4 seater for the road, when track days come it turns itself into a deadly weapon on the track
  22. A B3 engine whiich is a 16 SOHC would do around 9.5l/100km in city and 6.2l/100km out side (Highway driving). All the Familia series engines clock the same fuel econ rate Hope this help.
  23. cheers buddy Im from australia ,yeah on my P's for another 5 months . That right there is my pride and joy glad you like it
  24. Cheers broh yeah this is my baby EG love it to bits ay . yeah many pics will be coming up soon
  25. Hopefully with the new gasket on the civic will be trouble free for at least another 50000 km's (hopefully). It's uncommon and rare to hear a civic busting a gasket?, the previous owner might have some serious explaining to do lol
