    Revenue License

I've misplaced the revenue licence. Could I get a new one?
  2. Indeed, this is Micro. I took my brothers' Kyron sometime ago as it went on limb mode. It needed the vacuum modulator filter replaced (50 Rs. job). Instead of replacing the filter, Micro guys suggested to replace the modulator costing nearly Rs. 10,000.00. I came to know couple of situations where they have not replaced air/fuel filters even billed for those. If someone is ignorant about mechanics, they will defiantly ripoff the person. I hope someone will sue these people in very near future......
  3. @TRC definitely you will change your words, once you enjoy MICROS's excellent after sales service!!!! I am uncertain about the strengthening strategy of Micro as a company. Rather than bringing one or two brands and become an expert on maintaining and repairing the same brand with ample spare part stock, they try to bring down different brands. Now all of sudden,,,,,BIAC. It seems they try different chinese bands for quick money and just neglect the customer.
  4. Hi All, My vehicle battery (90Ah-Maintenance free) failed just after 1 year and 2 months. The previous one lasted for just 2yrs and 2 months. Though, the present one is still under warranty (24 months), I have some concerns on any malfunctioning in the charging system is the premature dead of the battery. Some observations are follows. 1. Battery charging voltage is 14.7 V (this is the reading of the battery after starting the vehicle. I am quite sure about the Sanwa digital multimeter I have). The warranty certificate says the charging voltage should be in between 13.8- 14.2 V 2. I observe battery acid accumulated near to air vent screws of the battery (though this is sealed type battery) Do these signs indicate a problem with the charging system of the vehicle.
  5. No, there is no specific mileage. Based on the experiences of some of us, problematic vehicle would make a tappet noise like sound at very low speed.
  6. GP1 is a rugged, time tested and reliable vehicle except the designing problem.
  7. Frankly, HMMF and CVTF both are the same. We have driven our Fit GP1 with CVTF oil changes now more than 90000km. HMMF is for the Japanese market. Some sellers try to sell HMMF for exorbitant price (13000 - 15000 Rs. for 4 liter) though we can buy 3.5 Liter can (which is sufficient for the oil change) for Rs. 6500 - 7000. Please do not trap to the word of oil seller!!!. The service manual of Honda Insight for USA recommends CVTF.
  8. You need to replace CVTF oil. This warning appears 40000 km after changing the CVTF and you have driven 100 km more. Please replace the CVTF ASAP.
  9. Honda vehicles come with a " inline transmission oil filter". Some of web information ask to replace it after 100000 km. Any ideas about this????
  10. Thanks for the advice. I have been to some reputed places in Kandy but never carried out flushing out step. Even Kundasale Auto did not carry out flushing when I had my Vios. Therefore, later I got it done by my mechanic (I will never call him again). After all these lessons, I thought of doing the DIY job not to save money, but to do the general practice that garages undertaken while allowing some more time to drain oil. Plus, as Ramesh mentioned, to avoid wasting time at smelly garages and avoid dishearten myself by seeing dirty work done by training guys in these garages. Finally, the happiness I get myself by a DIY is worth than money!!!!!
  11. Isn't it funny, that people who assemble this car don't have a such a basic spare part. This is all about MICRO>>>>>
  12. Seems to me that Step 7 is bit tricky. We need to maintain draining and pouring at a same rate to avoid any starvation of ATF in the gearbox!!!! Nice Video illustrating all steps:
  13. Thanks Ramesh, This is really helpful and comprehensive. I cannot more than that from a Pro-member of Autolanka. Excellent......
  14. I have been using Havoline ECo 0W 20 (cost 4850 Rs.) for nearly 40000 kms, it does the job. Though this is a synthetic oil, I make sure to maintain a service interval of 5000 km.
  15. I do agree, Ssangyongs are far better than Chinese ones. Since, BIACs arrived in our market very recently, I wonder there anyone who can help you. However, I noticed couple of BIACs in the city.
  16. Indeed I agreed with TT, as far as I remember he did while pouring new oil from the inlet. I think it is still a risky job though our gear box survived. by the way, isn't it necessary to remove entrapped oil inside the gear box when we do the change?
  17. Hi All, I thought of it would be good to gather your experiences on ATF/CVTF change Just to have an idea about do's and don'ts. Then perhaps this can be considered as a DIY job for most of us. I have two questions to start with, 1. My Mechanic flushes the remaining CVTF in the gear box (honda fit hybrid) by starting the engine after draining CVTF and run the engine for a while (I cant remember he shifted the gear to D position , but break paddle was pushed in). He did it during last two times of oil change but the gear box is still nothing bad happened. Is this a recommended practice? 2. Where in sri lanka we can buy the lengthy funnel to access the opening of the CVTF fill in located bottom of the engine. regars
  18. Hi, Even it is a Mercedes Benz imported by Micro, I will not recommend to buy it from them. These people will strip you and disappoint you form the very first day you buy the car. Based on my own experiences I would recommend to stay away from Micro. Some of the experiences I have: 1. No responsibility of importing spare parts timely, it will take months for importation. However, they will say a new shipment will arrive in the next month. 2. Often no spare parts in stocks 3. Lot of cheating to grab money as much as possible, especially if they come to know you are not much familiar with mechanics 4. Ever increasing price of spare parts, as there are no competitors. 5. Even there can be assembling defects from the company, they will not take any responsibility if the vehicle is out side the warranty period.
  19. I thought Micro is the only company which is incapable of supplying spare parts on time!!!!! Seems it is common to all agents in Sri Lanka trying to fetch some money by selling vehicles and not much concern about after sales service!!!
  20. Exactly, this is a symptom of this problem "tappet like noise". You won't be able to visually notice black smoke, perhaps, very minor deposit of carbon on the tip of the silencer. By the way, my one doing okay after the second option, though got it done in kandy. I am really taking precautions when doing oil change, especially I let old oil drain for overnight as the service is done by my self. Trust me, quite lot of old oil drains during 12 hrs drain period and all 4 liters of new oil used. It seems Stafford repair is quite questionable. I am wondering, doesn't Stafford give a warranty for their repair!!!!
  21. Ar Around 45000++, though it was year nearly year ago.
  22. Hi, I think Stafford has inflated the repair charge as there is no any alternative. However, better to note that there are similar competent people are around. Most of them are ex-workers of Stafford. Perhaps, they can do the repair for a lower cost. For instance the garage in Kandy where I got done the repair.
  23. Thanks. Already mailed. Thanks google translator for japanese translation
  24. Hi, I went for the option 2. Though we had a lengthy discussion on the root cause of the problem, none of the members could give a good reason. I myself put the blame on me due to some delays in servicing. That's why I went for the option 2. As Honda has identified it as a design failure, If I am you, I would opt for option 3 considering the long run. regards
