  1. Is that why the coolant needs flushing once in every two years or so, or does that have to be done even with the none water based coolant? Also, is there any distinct advantage using none water based as compared to the water based ie. cost/benefits? Did a bit of fact finding on the net re. the matter but could not find any worthwhile explanations.
  2. The Don and Sampath, Thanks guys. I went to Kitulwatta and checked up with their Service Engineer and the type is "Dexron III" ATF for the 2004 Jap Alto HA23S.
  3. Is ABRO a non water based coolant? The can does not say anything but its to be poured in straight without diluting with water, as opposed to WURTH where it needs to be diluted with water.
  4. OK! That makes sense and explains it!
  5. Aha!!!! Awissawella....!!!! That is where the problem is....try avoiding Awissawella

    Atf Brand

sampathpj, More than the "brand" what is important is the type/standard (Dexron II, Dexron III, Mercon, SP II, SP III etc etc). If you get a good "brand" but the wrong type/standard your auto tranny would be talking to you sooner than later!!! Check what type/standard your car takes, it's usually given on the auto-oil dipstick. When that is sorted check if the "brand" that you select confirms to the type/standard which your car takes. PS I am of course not an "expert".
  7. Thanks Sampath for all the info!! BTW Isn't that Ford Prefect a late 50s early60s than a 1980??????

    Jeeps

The new models or does it include the classic models as well?
  11. Absolutely! The Palath Sabha models LWB and SWB (1st Gen. Pajero) are really solid stuff they keep going going and going and are basically evergreens and much much better than the Cami and iO, eventhough old.
  12. Could any of you Experts please advice me on the type of ATF ( ie. DexronII or III, SPII or SPIII etc etc) that is originally recommended or suitable for the 2004 Suzuki Alto Japanese model HA23S? The dipstick does not give any clue nor is there any sticker in the engine bay/ gear box, giving any clue. Anyone?
  13. I don't think that you could find any diesel Cami or Pajero iO models, unless they have been converted with goodness knows what! As for economy...it depends on what your expectation of km/pl is! However I doubt that either of these models would return anything beyond 11kmpl in hilly terrain. As for hillclimbing abilities the iO which has an 1.8lt engine may have an edge over the Cami. Let the exprts tell you more. This is just my two cents!
