Some companies like Volvo are known in certain European countries more for their busses and trucks than their cars...that doesn't make them think twice before they get a Volvo car I'm guessing. Are Tata busses and trucks reliable? If so there's no reason why their cars need not be. If, however, the sportscar feels like it's made of plastic and crumples up with the slightest touch, then nobody is going to go for it. You don't want to be riding around in an eggshell at 200kmph do u? If Tata uses a smart marketing and advertising campaign, and proves that the new cars are actualy what they are claimed to be, then I see no reason why it can't be successful in the global market in a few years time. Well said. I think it all started with the invention of Auto transmission. In America you see loads of people driving like they're pros, including women who think they're race car drivers just because they can drive an auto gear car on a highway. But their skill is very limited, and ability to drive standard transmission almost non existent. I'd like to see them even try to drive an auto on Sri Lankan roads, leave alone anything else Sometimes I wish all this fancy technology would kind of slow down, if only to ensure that driving still requires some skill.

Only some states and cities require front licence plates, although I think the number of places requiring this is increasing, and pretty soon it'll be a standard requirement. I think in the northern states this requirement is increasing, with fines of around $50 for those flouting it. Generally when you move into other states you're supposed to get plates belonging to that state.

The STi or the Skyline. I don't want Senna Tuned fun with a Honda Badge, or to be considered a Supercar Elite Outsider. Probably not that many people do. Also, I think all three cars are in different leagues, and the STi was overall built with a different purpose in mind (ie-rallying), so such a comparison isn't all that worthwhile.
