Even now, I've seen hitad ads for permits for sale and business seems to be good. Let's not pretend that hardworking (!) professionals in the public sector have no other option to get to work other than by buying a permit car. They just want their pound of flesh from this budget, just like everybody else. Anyway, it looks like the permit scheme will be reinstated for all and sundry.

I can't believe government servants or rather public servants are even mentioned in the same breath as productivity. The public service is bloated and is unproductive. The consequent governments are afraid to prune the deadweight because they are afraid of losing votes. As to the free education, we all know that the government gets almost 80% of its taxes indirectly, meaning by taxing parippu and halmessa consumed by everyone. As such, free education and free health is an entitlement for all or none. Show me a productive public servant and I'll show you a flying pig!

Wait till next budget!

I am waiting for the Mazda 6 I ordered in September. The agent says they can deliver around 24th. The agent says that the 2 liter one will be over 8 million once the new budget kicks in.

Can we cancel an order we've placed at an agent if the price rises drastically when the car arrives here?

Rumors abound. Car sales folks are predicting that luxury vehicles will be prized out of the market. Maybe they just want to sell stagnant stock. Hard to blame them. They are just businesses trying to make a buck. The policy makers are to blame. But then these morons were voted in by the people. So you can say that the common people brought the whole mess upon them.

A bit of a downer that, about the agent. When I called the salesperson today to ask about the increase in price, she assured me that while the prize for my car will stay the same, according to the new tax system Mazda 6 2 liter will cost ~8.9mill.

Hi all! Thanks to you guys and especially the poll devised by supra_natural I decided to take the plunge and booked a Mazda 6 thru c$$mart in mid September. I thought this car would fulfill my needs while being good to look at. The agent assures me, tentatively I think, that since the LC was opened before September 16th I should be fine as far as the new taxes and FOB are concerned. Expected delivery is mid to late November. Fingers crossed ? Thanks again all you guys. I would really appreciate it if you can give me pointers on maintaining a Mazda as this is my first Mazda. Cheers!
