  1. The TP12 does not come come with VVT. (or VVL for Nissans) looks like you had all these problems cause you had poor knowledge of the car & did not know how to maintain it. 'Spares are expensive' is very subjective and is not constructive advice. To the Topic Poster- please search the forum- there are some previous threads with good info on the subject
  2. I remember one of these cars being advertised at a crazy price a few months back. Probably never changed hands at those rates
  3. + on Toyota Sucks comment. - this is normal. Same thing would happen in the P12 I used to have, IMO its the gear box's method of correcting the gear ratios to optimize acceleration.
  4. lol my bad Try 'crown investments' I'm sure they'll have something that will fit you're need
  5. If its to just to drive 2 speakers then you dont need an Amp. Just the head unit will be enough, as most branded head units come with 40-60 watt RMS, which is more than enough to power a set of 6X9 speakers
  6. All the best man!
  7. LOL but their prices are fair (in general at least) and I usually find no need to to request any help from the staff- the best way to go about Mustafa's is to shop late in the night when its least crowded
  8. The TP12 is the common sedan the HP12 is the sports version of it- which comes with a higher power engine with VVL, manual 6fwd gear box, different dash, higher grand of interior trim with leather linings, 17inch factory alloys, smoked front lights & sports grill. Also the HP12 is a lot easier to maintain that the TP12 and gives better fuel economy. Search the forum for HP12 and you find more info as this has been discussed before.
  9. +1 that can be arranged
  10. If you can afford the Mark- then I'd say there are more options in the same price bracket to compare it with based on the factors you mentioned- since there is around a million rupee price difference between the Primera and Mark. I'd think around the Verossa, Altezza, Accord, A4, Mazda 6, Skyline G35 etc
  11. Chris is famous in the education & manufacturing sector http://www.#####/201...g-in-sri-lanka/ Since that got censored- you'll need to google the article that came up about his Evo in the popular local magazine on cars

It was yellow (as expected) and was very clear, so I relaxed and pumped as much as I could and....it felt good I must say. After putting that seriously good pump, everything is running smoothly still" Loving it
  17. the cops can book you if you dont use original number plates for english number vehicles. But I guess there are people who getaway with it as well
  18. You wont get the dull noise you normally get in pre-ignition, when you're key has been turned 2 notches- thats if the fuel pump in totally out. Otherwise you'll get fuel starvation type symptoms when its on its way out
  19. What really matters is whether the person who made the comment in the article knows anything about F1

  21. Port City 1 Comment(s) 24 Jun, 2011 15:38:15 Sri Lanka secures US$700mn investment for reclaimed city June 24, 2011 (LBO) - The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has secured a 700 million US dollar investment to build a 'port city' on land reclaimed on the capital's seafront with the construction of a new harbour. SLPA chairman Priyath Wickrama said material dredged to build the new port next to the existing Colombo harbour will be used for the reclamation of about 200 hectares. "We have got an investor who will invest 700 million US dollars for the landfill," he told a public forum, without naming the investor. The land will be given on a 99-year lease and be used to build a 'port city' with port-related businesses along with other activities. "The project will take 39 months to complete," Wickrama said. "It will have a mini-golf course, a Formula One race track, a small yacht marina and areas for water sports." The land reclamation will be on the southern side of the new Colombo South Harbour, a deep-water port being built next to the existing port. It is meant to cater to the latest generation, bigger container vessels which are too big to call at the existing Colombo port. The dredging and breakwater of the new port was funded with a loan from the Asian Development Bank. A consortium led by China Merchants Holdings which has partnered with the local Aitken Spence conglomerate is to build the new port's first container terminal at a cost of 500 million US dollars.
