  1. First of all, really sorry for not keeping my promise Secondly Sorry for reviewing an Old thread. I did go to see the pre-owned certified vehicles of this renowned importer. I got some inside help also. A 2005 Swift (HT51S) So i do not know whether I am doing something ethical, but when i requested to see the repairs done on the vehicle. I was shown a list of things that was replaced. They have done some major repair in the engine, like replacing the gasket etc. The important thing is the replacing part (or the new part) is not new, it comes from another vehicle, sometimes of the same model sometime forma different model that fits. For example the Swift i checked had parts form Liana. Those were clearly mentioned in the repair list and the repair cost was close to 200k. The price tag they had was 2.5 m + and if the repairs are ok i feel it is worth it. Because in the market the price range is around 2.4 and then we need to do all the fixing. Also it is a thriving business, as they say if the vehicle is good - I think there is less repairs to be done, a well looked after vehicle - those fly. Also they say they check and correct the cooling and electrical system. Also they do repair the suspension. When asked about the parts, why have used old used parts, I did not get a reply. But they do not do any correction on the body or the interior. Those problems are there to be seen.
  2. I inquired about a 2002/2005 Swift. They told they need to repaire the racks etc. Going in there today. I will add more infor
  3. This is about A*W. I called them and the reply was they fix all the running repairs. The price is high. Also comes with a 6 months or 10000km warrenty on engine and gear box. I wanted to go and check what details they give us. They are closed today. So conversation is to be continued. I will add details in this thread in case i find out more. I seached the net did not find lot of info, hence thought to open the thread. It might be better to spend a bit more than to be stuck with a hacked vehicle. Also might run without major hickup for 6 to 12 months.
  4. An importer of indian cars in borella is selling certified pre owned cars. There are japanese makes as well How relible the certification ?
  5. Another option might be Kia Picanto, but the resale vale will be very less Any thoughts on that. Safety ratings look good at least for Aus and NZ models (a 5 Star rating) Indian is good for exclusively for city running.
  6. Yes, that is my idea, Indian is good for City running.
  7. I owned a Honda FIT Hybrid 2012 :), I do not think I can get a Same category car for at least couple of years
  8. I am looking for a small, reliable, fuel efficient car mainly for city. Comfort is not really a concern. Would like to stay away form Garages and looking for parts. Do not like to be stranded on the road My budget is around 2.5, lower is better than more. My Options are 1 - Used Viva Elite Auto - All users I know are satisfied and do not give major trouble even after 3 - 4 years of good personal use 2 - Used Suzuki Astar Auto - Mainly because can maintain at a low cost. 3 - New Alto K10 Auto - New car, low cost maintenance. Any suggestion are welcome. I was using a bigger Japanese car, i had to let go of it to fill up a financial need.
  9. Thanks all for the input. I will go for the Wagonar FZ. One more information i missed in my question, I want my wife to drive to do the schooling and she do not want to drive a big car. At the moment i do not have the capacity to buy and maintain two cars at least two big cars. Although i drive to work now, i will have to look for some alternative, and that is a bigger down grade than going form GP1 to Wagonar
  10. I am looking for a small car, close to 2.4 - 2.7 M - I own a Honda GP1, which i plan to sell within the next two months because i need some cash -. The two options I am interested in are; 1 - Wagonar FZ 2 - Alto K10 - Automatic I know it is big down grade, but selling the vehicle seems to be the best option and getting a loan/lease for a car is the easiest . Of-course the Alto K10 (Automatic) will come with all the drawbacks of Indian small cars. Automatic and the price, is the only thing that makes me to think of buying it. How good is his car ? and how good is the Automatic gear box ? I prefer the Wagonar FZ. But the owners complain about slow pick up and less puling power, of-course you can not expect much of a 660 cc, but is it that bad ?. I drive bit aggressively at times, but i can adjust, I feel. Please add your thoughts, it is really appreciative
  11. Sorry for Reviwing an Old thresd. Looking for a second car arround 800,000. Own a Honda FIT. I have lot of bad experience on a Suzuki swift 2001, athough i was very generous to her/him , either the vehicle or the garage was not . Little bit concerned to take an old model. I want AT as well. Any thoughts on Cherry QQ, the ads says 'Company maintained'. How relaible 'The Company' (I*e*l Motors i assume) be if i take a car there for inspections. The adds say 2006, AT, arround 800,000 - 900,0000. Hope can nego a bit. Other options will be, 1 - a two door, Alto or March YoM 2000 or earlier. 2 - Small Korian car, Kia or Hyundai
  12. Can Spills in the FIT Hybrid Trunk seep in to the Battery or baterry compartment ? I has a bad accident :-( When traveling back home from a 300 km journey, a jar with liquid salt has been put in the bag which was hadled harshly ans packed in the trunk. When unpacking following orning i found that there is a Spill, check in the car did not find any traces, but it might be too late to spot any traces. I want to do an interrror cleaning ASAP, but want to know whther i have to get the hybrid battery compartment cleaned as well (I need to get expert support for that ofcourse)
  13. This is about the CVT oil change. My neighbor uses a FIT 2007 model which is serviced by Stafford. The maintenance card given by Stafford says to change most of the oils in 10k or 15K intervals. It says to change the CVT oil every 15K I own a FIT Hybrid 2012 serviced by Sterling, Personally I am not happy about their service, but i have to stick to them if i am to keep my warranty. I have asked them about CVT change and they say to change after 30k km, and when the indicator comes up. I am not sure whether they have the correct CVT oil and also little bit worried after what they did with my Engine oil replacement. They used 5w-30m in the first service and 0W-20m in the second oil change. the fuel efficiency in much better now than after the first oil change. I have learned now that the correct oil since this is a new car is 0w-20m (Correct me if i am wrong). Here comes the questions 1 - Has any one done a CVT change in Sterling (I know of one post that says about changing the CVT in Stafford and being void for a Gear box problem on a car with Sterling warranty) 2 - Do i have to change the CVT oil every 15k km, because there are my friends who have not done so but do not have any problem. And also i have learned that Stafford has its own agenda with sales.
  14. Wel, I like to point out two things, i lost my confidence on the first day itself, 1 - During my first service they told the Scan was good as Gold, but since i did a inspection in the Stafford before i bought my car i knew there was a fault, because the left side muti-function has been added after importing to SL. When i queried how can their scan be good as gold, the answer i got is the equipment they have might be inferior to that of Stafford. And they expected only positive comments. 2 - My brother owned a FIT and My neighbor owns one too, all of them follow the routine given by Stafford, and when i queried about the Gear Box oil change, what they told me is that to wait till the indicator comes to change the oil, wel, i have asked them to do a change of oil in the next service. We'll see how this works out. They were insisting that i do not have to do it. Yes, replacing he EGR solved the problem, and it seems a very common problem.
  15. I have a Problem with windscreen sprinkler - Honda FIT, When i try to spray water to the wind screen the water drains out through the front rain water drain, I guess it is loose connection, how difficult job it is to fix it ? and any idea why or how it can happen.
