  1. hell yeah i'm interested lol but it'd be quite a treck for me
  2. if it isn't too much stuff catch a tuk back
  3. dude if i needed to go to pettah i park elsewhere and catch a bus!! you don't need a car just for that!!
  4. this clearly shows how backward your knowledge of cars is... and you're trying to argue?
  5. unfortunately preveen spreads his love only metaphorically... he has a lot to cover
  6. the trick is to avoid the really bad roads or drive super slow when you're on them who cares about the mile long traffic jam behind you cos they'd do the same if it were their car... anyways it's the case for any car you buy... not just subarus... and errr that's kmh
  7. machan i can hook you up with a very good supplier for parts if ever anything springs up... he was the sole supplier for all my nissan parts unless of course i visit the agent for engine work which i only do there... he'll give you good prices and is usually in stock or will source them if they're out... in fact A*W buys parts from them when they run out... text me if you want any further details... 0777536266
  8. ok if i were to remain in SL i'd stick with subarus if i can afford a newer STi... but if i were to move abroad i'd aim for an older porsche... a 996 911 turbo perhaps but for now i vote for subaru... and the reasons are listed in dim's post... although it gets you into a lotttt of trouble
  9. congrats dude i love primeras (except for the post 2000 generation)!!... they're solidly built cars, handle really well and hold their value pretty well too... i was considering going for a P11 after my cefiro but i got hooked up elsewhere... hope you enjoy your car dude
  10. errr no i'm pretty sure they're V6's
  11. the kyron is a noisy diesel... i listened to a kia sportage diesel and a brand new kyron start up consecutively and the sportage was way quieter... but i have to say the interior look superb and had much softer leather than most jap cars on the roads... everything was in good knick... and all components looked slotted in perfectly... oh did i mention the 18" rims and super massive tyres??
  12. dell's are a no-no IMO... HP's have always been my best friend... can't you buy a laptop from wherever you're going cos prices are insane here... you'd get a much better deal abroad...
  13. a drop-in tempts me too (there's not much point in cold air in my car cos it doesn't stay cool very long lol) but i don't know if it would have a positive or negative effect... i get mixed opinions...
  14. i assume you mean 80k miles not kms... that's not exactly a sparingly used car
  15. rock on brother!! i thought i might get the most sadistic sarcastic sh*t!! everything tastes better when it's free
  16. got copped for the same last week... me also don't have badges but they were a little more cheeky and wanted to see my 'birth certificate'... i asked the cops where on earth they detail exhaust particulars on a car reg book???? i gave them a copy they went through it and let me go... i too used the 'factory fitted exhaust' stunt and was pretty confident of taking it to senok
  17. those that haven't been thrashed aren't for sale
  18. hmmm highly doubt your friend can get his hands on one anytime soon... don't take this the wrong way but why a legacy RS in particular? i think there are a few WRXs going up for sale soon too...
  19. who quoted 8k for an exide??? i paid 5k just over a month ago...
  20. why are you doing all this if you're selling it??? jack the price up...
  21. actually i'll leave the picture taking to pericles... he does a much better job... what you say pericles this weekend? well dream car is an STi but i got a healthy blood relative so i'm not complaining
  22. mivec.turbo - no wonder the mileage's high jk machan i saw your company listed on the reg papers... saturn - i haven't checked consumption yet machan but it's around 6 with hard driving... but that's just a estimate... i'll let you know for sure after the drive out of colombo this weekend drake - single turbo swap is a long way ahead if i decide to do so at all... i'd like to keep the car true to its roots machan... ie twin turbo hand your number down to me just in case i have some sort of query... mine's 0777536266... miniace - i didn't know this car had such a rich history i'm seeing more of that 301- car lately...
  23. infact i bought two 3M cloths!!! picks dust and finger prints up like a charm... all this coming from an EVO 9 owner i take as a compliment and it seems somewhere down the line the badges were stolen and the fogs need to be replaced too... all i have is a gaping hole for now...
  24. hey guys thanks for the positive replies... a few answers to those who asked the questions charith - car moves like a b*tch machan... well a move up from a 2L V6 FWD to this is considerable so i have a lot of good to say... nihal was the first owner... i don't know how far down DD took over... drake - the later 98 RS's (just before the B4) came with 280bhp eventually but i doubt there are any of them around... the difference between AWD and 4WD is pretty much spot on... AWD varies torque among the wheels... 4WD doesn't... how's your car doing? just so you know drake's got a 2nd gen legacy RS too... kim - i prefer not discussing prices here machan... gihanfx - a lot of people are pushing me to drag this car but it isn't the reason i bought it so you'll never see it drag... i'm a huge subaru fan and subarus are not all about driving in straight lines... VWvortex - there is a black 301- still running around... i saw it a month ago on park road... devinda_z - unfortunately the petrol faithful is a little too faithful to the ceylon petroleum corp these days and yes she does get it rough when i find the space... she's in good hands OD - single turbo conversion will come quietly but i'm in no rush to get anywhere i still like the thought of sequential twins though for the rest of you wanting more pics... i'll take them once i'm done getting rid of all the finger prints planted in one night... never realised how easily black cars pick so much dirt up thanks again for all the well wishes
