There used to be a shop called "N4's toys & hobby shop" which sold Tamiya, Traxxas, Team Losi & all professional brands, but thanks to Chinthana, it's closed now. Guess you & I will have to smuggle RC's from abroad!!!

As much as I love RC cars, Sri Lanka has banned them. Anyway There was only one dedicated hobby shop here & that too was closed thanks to CHINTANA!! sigh. Nice rides, I love Tamiya stuff. Whats the Chassis? You should check out the E30 BMW M3 body...a real beaut!!

All vios models have rear discs as standard whereas only the high grade corollas get rear discs. That's not a major problem though!!

Hi again, Thanks for everyone's prompt response. Current milage is 200k+. The engine was overhauled at 185k & the ATF was replaced in early '06. 23k miles have been done after the ATF was changed. The car does emit a bit of black smoke. It's serviced regularly & filters are also changed at the correct time. There is no tachometer so I can't compare revs on level roads & inclines. Thanks

Thanks for the info. There was also an Escort Mk1 RS2000 in the original Blue on White scheme, It was advertised somewhere between January & March. I maintain a list called "Junkyard Jewels" in the back of my diary of the contact details of all performance cars, so if I win a lottery or sommat I could call up & own one!!! Yuk Yuk!! The orange one looked a bit like a works capri... The wheels archs were kinda similar. I'll attach an image if possible. Where did you see it? Was it at a race? I beleive there is one genuine Escort Mk1 Mexico which is orange coloured. It was beside the Black Escort at the car show. Now THAT is a beauty!!!

I like this version too. There's a garage down my lane & there's a green Cortina which has been ruined by the owner. Call it personal preference but this freak's welded 'Doctor Sunny' rear lights to it!!! The front has not been touched yet, but he'll weld something weird & unsightly to it no doubt. Sticking to Ford cars, does anyone know about the Orange Ford Escort Mk1 which was advertised in last week's HitAd? It's a two door Escort Mk1 but it does not have the traditional Wide wheel archs found in the Mk1 RS1600. It's a beauty anyway. Wish I could own it!! The black one's a Ford Escort Twincam. It was seen at the Car show in 2007.

Hi Everyone, I have a problem, & I'm not sure what it is... My car is a Toyota Corolla CE106 Wagon ('97) which is diesel & has an automatic transmission. The problem is that it does not exceed 80 km/h on level road & 18km/h on inclined roads.(Kadugannawa-15km/h with 4 passengers) This is OK on normal colombo roads, but it's a huge problem when driving to Kandy & similar areas where there are alot of inclines. What do you think the problem is? Is it something to do with the automatic gearbox? How can it be corrected? Your expertise will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
