so i guess the VW touareg and the LR3 is out from the list and i spoked to my friend and he is telling he can't afford that kind of a huge ammount of money for a bloddy SUV .and become a target for all the underworld car thiefs and kidnappers he owns a LR3 here with 4.2 motor in it and damn thats some ride ... the only thing is when ur thinking to bring it down to SL u face the problem of LHD & RHD kawz macho what i was trying to point out is that the mitsu is wide spread and so common upon the society and yah i wished theres that foliage mentioned by you over here where is stay cos i really miss it alot .. so i guess theres only two comon things to go for in SL ... a mitsu montero or a toyota prado .... and for the cherokee hope we are lucky enough that we will stumble upon a good one soon and thankz for the help guys and let me posted on any good ideas except all what you came up with ....

max machang .. the korians are good i heard and tried out the sentafe too one of my frinds owns it over here and it's a quality buy for buck i you have intentions on driving up country to mention kothmale , hatan or a trip to arugambe it's not the ideal ride you should be in but as a soft off roader its good to buy brand new heard the rexton is good but have fears of the Ssangyong plant closing some gosip reached our years and it stayed in our minds and with out thinking twice rexton was out of the list ..... gummy .. do they have older versions of the cherokee in SL and whats the range of the price and the parts avalability the petrol Y60 is anice ride but for a new boy in town finding a mint condition one is hard and if needed finding spare parts for a aging beauty is even harder, prado was running in our heads for some time and it was a nice pick for us but we wanted to be a bit exotic and and go for a different brand not following the trend forester is a good family soft SUV and lets see may be they will end up with one of that ... supra machang the budget is around 7-8 mil and if theres some thing they really like may be they will spend around 10 cos this will be there family ride for some time to come ... jerry ... they have kids machang and a long drive will wear them out pretty soon and these guys except for the dood is used to normal cars the comfy models .... jadey ..... pagero is good but all of us we don't like it machang bcos all the thugs and goons along with politikko and smuglers use it ..... and you end up as one when u start using it .... any one have any idea on a VW touareg ..... and how much it will cost in SL that a perfact buy for this dood ..... and how about the new grand cherokee brand new .... i told them to buy two vehicles to serve them but hte problem is they have small parking in there house ...

guys someone who is very close to me and who i kw very well is coming down to SL to settle down ..and is planing to buy some weels to go around. he has a full family of four with one kid under 5 years. and is a fun and outgoing guy who loves the out doors this dood is planing to go for a SUV to cover up the daily transport issue and to slove weekend outdoor problem so in SL there are few options avalable and guess range rover / hummers is out of the list ... due to the high tax posted upon them after a few empty beers we ended up on few models which upto the job * toyota prado *landrover defender *nissan pathfinder *Honda HRV *subaru forseter *jeep grand cherokee and we choose the jeep grand cherokee to go ahead with because aboth of us we loved good old american jeep. i never came down to SL for more than 3 years and for lack of knowladge about the local market and service i ask for all your support to select this guy a good family SUV under 7-8mil cheaper the better .... and what will be the price tag on a brand new one thankz in advance

hey peri i'm not really good at all this technical stuff ...but guess you got the point i was trying to prove ... trying to do some thing that you can't posibily do with your car is utter madness ...but you should give some credit to the guy for having a big heart though theres always a peoper place and a proper time for everything and this Psychos will never understand it ... gihan machang for those dood you mentioned ..okunta gahala madi ban .... putting others in danger with there reckless driving and if you want to try out your ride its better to do it some where safe ... by the way nigels ride was hot ...really loved it with nitros and all in built ... any way back to the subject seems all the saints here at AL has a much more darker side than i expected ....

there are some samples in AL it self like one Subaru B4 old model i saw on AL add's with a funny body kit ...it was like some mutated child of jason and frankanstine .... and a few kitted up lancers which made me laugh from my A$$

i don't mind modding up a EK3 or a Eg8 upto a Type R status or dressing her up to make her look good but the stupid graphity and wings with that big furt barrel is what gives all the good die hard honda lovers a bad name ..... but what i can't understand is when someone rice up a civic every one talks about it but if some one does the same to a subaru or a lancer alot of people tend to ignore it .... may be becos ppl think machang that all the bad A$$ good for nothing maniacs you only honda's

i kw machang ppl hate to see riced up cars even me ...specially once which have snorkels,dinner table like spoilers & furt barrels which makes the dogs bark at night those r stuff which makes me puke too our family used to own a factory eg8 and i'm planing to buy myself a ek3 hatch to do some performance mod's and keep it at home machang and i don't see anything bad on dressing up your car to satisfy your taste ... like you did and many other good folks around SL did ... and i would surely done the same if i had mine till all this mod's sean started ... but this morons who drive in rice mobiles give all the rest who are proud to own civics a bad name ... people like nigel,zakie,asanka,wahab's and alot more used to own and still own civics and are very proud of them ... but these buggers from the mental hospital who drive around are giving the bad name to all the die hard honda lovers...

true that there are some rotten apples in the bucket but hey peri don't start blaming the civic for the ppl who drive it ... most of the guys who used to own them were quite ok ... nigel,asanka galaboda,wahab brothers,zakie i guess even our andy used to own one and each and every dood loved it for it's carrector to make u smile ..and the power to bring your wild side out for a affordable price ... and if you ask even though they climbed to the next step in the automobile ladder and started driving high performance rides liek Sti's and Evo's they still have a very special place for the honda .... it's like the first girlfriend you met at school though now she's a slut you still cherish the good memories you had with her ..... & still see wet dreams ... guess alot of the old school doods who owned them weren't moron's .. the thing is mainly with the new gen who started buying civics ...

hey ... i'm a die hard honda fan too .. used to have a eg8 which wasn't riced way back ....but i still can't understand why ppl hate honda's specialy the eg8 .. and i will always buy a honda over anything else .... and remember for all the guys who hate them alot of doods started to climb the steps of motorsports and tuning from honda civic's

i don't disagree .. the thing i'm telling is you will end up working as a donkey for some major dood for peanuts and they will reap the results of your hard work .... it's good to get tied up in some place and work for them for some time to gain experience but don't forget the grass is much more greener on the other side and about the srilankan rupee gaining more value .... i don't think that it will happen some time soon ..at least a good 5 years or more will take after the war to make that dream come true so till then the best advice is to ppl who are abroad is not to come to SL and for the ppl in SL to tighten there belts a little more cos the hard times are not over yet ....

even me now i'm a very peaceful driver ... just find the middle lane in the highway and just drive normally with out any fancy stuff ... and by the way peri you can't blame the car it has a alot of respect with the younger gen .. to own a CIVIC is a dream for many young maniac's and the first few month is always hell for the ppl in the area yah hope cops never start to write tickets for the acts we did ... but the memories are very nice with some broken bones to remember all the events .... some day when we get old surely there will be alot of stories to bost for with our grand kid ...

hey peri ..we were young and we were dumb ...and you know those days we were playing too much of need for speed and watching fast and the furious ... you know the good old days were wild and crazy ...not like now ..

you can machang but not under your name the way i kw you need to keep some thing in the bank guess a deed of a land or a fix deposit which is equal or more to the ammount you take ... plus a geranter who is earning and is willing to pay the ammount if you think to run away you have to find someone who will be paying the installments monthly and he has to show how he is going to find the money guess it will be around 50k per month ... for 3 mil for the duration of 20 years ... at least he has to show bank statements and letters from his workplace ... it's mind twisting ture and if you get selected for the loan it will take at least few weeks to get the money ..so do what ever you do you need to do it soon i don't wan't to show the dark side of the picture but mate due to this financial probs around the world banks are a bit shy to give you loans but guess in srilanka if you have the proper influence you can do what ever you want ... over there in italy you can work more than the limit illigally the only thing is you have to find a place where they pay you cash in hand ... not to your bank account where it will be taxed and can be traced and will lead many problems ...

so the stories keep on coming right ... ..hey i can remember once we drove my friends TOOK TOOK wearing motorcross helmets and that was some thing special guys we pull up next to school vans filled with girls and used to ask the driver wheres his helmat ...and damn it was fun to see the doos face when he looked at us .. and there was once a time around guess 2001 we drove around colombo when police were hot on our tale ...with out stoppin at more than 8 road blocks they send the bike sqad and 2 jeeps to catch us and finally when they did catch us at DS color lights ..borella ..damn they came out with all guns blazing thinking we were some gang bangers or drug trafficers ... but to find some teens in a EG8 totally drunk .. the only thing we ever did was run away at a check point when the cops came to check us to see if we were drunk near hilton .... we were treated as royalty at the station by the other drivers who were caught for drunk driving and that 5000/- fine was just money for a one big fun ride around colombo .... and now i'm pretty sure if we even tried this surely we will end up in a rain of gun fire ...

very impressive ..congradz ..mate as for funds ...better try to talk to micro mate and try to get some help but surely they will think twice before saying no .. sorry to break the news but bro the reality is its better off by your self... even though some one provided you with the initial money for the designing course fee surely i you will but you under a bond system(if the sponcer is a automaker/design studio) where you have to work under his shadow for a period of time ... and designs much more under quoted until you repay this ammount the good part is you will get a job ... the bad part is even though you get better offers from another company you cannot leave from the god damn place cos you are tied with that aggriment ... my advice is try to find at least the initial course fee even as bank loan, heard some banks provide you with student loans ... or check for a monthly installment system and fly off and show your colors over there ... as a fellow designer i can see alot of potential in your work of art and theres a good chance of getting noticed by some head hunting major auto maker who will allways pay up your fee and provide you with a attractive package ,, if i were you surely i would sell some land or take a bank loan and fly off to grab my dream ....money is allways the reason for alot of good talent to vanish in the developing countries with out showing there real skill ... best of luck mate ... hope you find your way around this ...

hey hey ,,,alot of crazy stuff u can say .. but even me now i'm a cooled down person ...but theres a time in life u do all those crazy stuff ... wheelies ... drifting ..drags .. the craziest thing i ever did was over here with my friends .... driving in 2 weels in a 4x4 man that was the hight of road madness for me .. there were some guys i saw on youtube rollersketing in the highway holding on to a speeding car .... i'm pretty surprised ... davinda ... who's having a Z never been a bad boy in his life ....
