Ha ha, That mirror is Toyota, so must be the Crown

Couldn't figure out the model, so I have gone to Co Pilot, and these are the questions from him 𤣠If you have any other angles or images of the vehicle? Where the photo was taken (e.g., country or region)? Any known details like the brand, year, or type (SUV, sedan, etc.)?

Sorry guys, I was away on holidays and away from all of my smart devices. Yes, this is the Slate, and you are correct @iRage

If I am not mistaken, the majority of the Tercel Wagons came to the Central Bank, and the plate numbers were 14 Sri

So that's the Toyota Tercel š With the provided clues, I have used CoPilot to find the answer, but I have learned something new. Thanks to @iRage for the extra context I have only known the early model Tercel Wagon, and I have a soft spot for them. , Keen to own a one but it's hard to find a good condition car.

relieable 4wd for surfing, beach/sand access under 4m ?
john cooper replied to wade456's question in Car Buying Information
Sorry for the late reply, good to see the conversation is going in a steady phase. The Delica P25 is a great Van, looks great and is one of the most capable Van's made for offroad trips (I believe) I have spotted a White P25 Van posted not long ago 53 - xxxx, and I know the history of that Van probably better than the current owner. š The Vans on the Island are old and not many maintained well. Again, this could be the same for any of the old vehicles due to several reasons. I would go with the Liteace or the Townace due to my personal experience with the Delica and the Townace 4WD we had. Up until 1992 - 1993 the Townace and Liteace used to be two different body shapes, which they later shared the same body but with minor cosmetic differences. So you have two different models to choose from, and Townace of that era seems more roomy than the Liteace I don't think you can reach out to the later model with your budget, but you might be lucky. The D21 is a great Ute, I have had a one in the Island, but not a L200 in the island, I have had a couple of L200's here in New Zealand. If you need the reliability, I would go with the Nissan D21, but be mindful that there are a lot of tampered Nissan D21 in the market on the Island, so you need to be very careful. If you are buying any 4WD vehicle, please make sure the 4WD is working or at least the prop shaft and the front diff haven't been removed (This is specially valid for the vans as people on the Island used to think 4WD is unnecessary for Van's) Feel free to DM any car sale posts that you would like to check. Regards, JC -
The truck is a Kia Ceres. One of the blue colours is for sale on one of the car sale sites, but it's a 2WD variant. Over to you @matroska

Welcome to AL @wade456 By the looks of it, it's a 5' 2" Carbon board, aye, I am sure you can have tons of fun in Sri Lanka with Surfing All of the below suggestions are considering your budget and parts availability in SL. 4wd LiteAce(CM41 model)/ TownAce (CR36) - Prices starts from 2mil and goes up to 4 mil Plenty of parts are still available in SL and around the world, and the majority of the grease monkeys know how to fix them. They are not heavy fitted with a proper low range with a transfer case, so they float on the Sand. Install 205/70/15 tires on the original rims, put some Air down, and they will be like a mountain goat. You can carry a few passengers if needed. Installed a kitchen at the back, and you can sleep on it. (Only if you are into Van life) The flip side to any Van's: You need to drive them carefully in Sri Lanka, you sit up front, very thin A pillar and Crumple Zone (non-existence), so not much protection. Nissan D21/ Mitsubishi L200 I am sure you can pick a reasonable Ute from close to the 3 mil mark, and a good one goes to 4 - 5+ mil Body Parts for those Utes are not as common as compared to the vans mentioned above, but I can't complain. Both models were fitted with a proper chassis on body construction. Under the body, they share some common parts with other vehicle models (ie Van, SUV and sometimes light Trucks) You might be able to install a lockable canopy or a cover to secure your goods at the back of the Ute, also you can also install a tent at the back of the Ute if needed. If you wanted to have extra traction, install a diff lock kit on the rear diffs (Some may have the factory LSD) The sand in SL beaches or the parts of the National parks they are not as soft as other sides of the world I have been to, so you won't get bogged down to your chassis rails unless you are doing something really wrong. The picture is just for fun Regards, JC -
Here is the challenge, surprisingly, a few made to SL I found this when I was browsing through 4wd small trucks, but the truck that I have spotted is not a 4WD model.

Isn't this the Mitzi Minica

Congratulations mate! The car looks absolutely stunning in Polar White. Personally, I like that colour. Iām loving the Burmester sound system tooāunfortunately, mine doesnāt have it. š I'm guessing yours has the 2.0L engine paired with the 9G-Tronic gearbox? Thatās a solid combo, and honestly, a much better fit for a place like SL compared to the DSG in your A5. One thing Iāve steered clear of is the version with air suspension, the repairs cost a fortune, and reliability still hasnāt caught up to the standard you get with Toyota/Lexus KDSS systems. Hopefully, yours doesnāt come with it! š Mineās a GLC250d, currently sitting at 175K, and so far itās been as reliable as a Toyota. The best advice I got? Just keep driving itāmineās a daily driver and itās been great. Happy motoring @Quiet

It is LBX š Had a look and test drove one of them, but I can't justify the price of it, which is twice the price of a Yaris Cross, which is on the same platform. You have the Lexus styling and the name badge, but maybe that's all.

Dude, you're like an encyclopedia It is a Saab Sonett III They have had a motor from Renault and for the next season RB is going with Renault engine šas their contract with Honda is ending.

We were in the market recently, and I don't think that was correct, especially the "significant price variations" Finding a genuine seller in SL is like finding a needle in a haystack; 99.9% are pretending to be sellers, but they all either home base car sellers or someone linked to small to medium dealers. While we are hunting for a good replacement, we have missed a couple of genuine sales due to the delay in mobilising someone to go and check the vehicle. The very same vehicles show up in different area's very next day with a good margin from it's previously posted price. (Six digit margin) One of them moved out from Colombo to the Gampaha area, and the other vehicle moved from Kurunegala to Homagama. So I don't believe it is true unless you are referring to significant price variations as 5 digit price or less.

It is 2 door, pop-up headlights Single Turbo, the engine is from one of the F1 engine developers, but the car is not. The car is from a European country

When you wanted to be an suv,but mama said be a vanā¦
john cooper replied to fiat fan's topic in MITSUBISHI
Great stuff, keep it up, mate. Just wanted to add something that came to my mind, this is a "design fault" when then becomes a fire hazard. Next to the battery, you will see a set of connectors, which get loose over time and start a fire, or it's get very hot and melt the plastic. Get that checked and replaced, it has melted on a few of the Vans that I am aware and ours almost ended in a fireball, but managed to cut the wires before it was too late. If you are keeping the Van for a long time, please buy a spare steering box that connects to the steering rack. Delica, with its forward control setup, the steering input is connected to a box in the middle, which is very weak, so with the added stress of large tires, you will be looking to change them sooner than the other models. It was a bit hard to find back in the day, but I believe 2WD model fits the 4wd Please make sure the Brake booster is in top condition (noticed that you have serviced that). We have had a few near misses, so we have upgraded our's to a Hyundai H100 unit, and that was spot on. Looks like you are on the correct path to restoring the Van, great to see that you have serviced the alternator. In 2007, we went to Kudumbigala Monastery, and the alternator gave up, and it was late in the night, we only had one small torch to find our way to Arugam Bay, and we did that 25 KM with a small torch. š A lot of fun stories with that Van. lol Regards, JC -
Don't see many in here either, it's the premium brand as per their specs, so I am not sure how much they are competitive with the other premium brands like Lexus, Merc, etc

Sorry for the delay, I was off from my Laptop due to the easter holiday. Happy Easter, everyone! Here is the new challenge, not sure if any of them in the Island, but who know's š
