Any Place For Alternator Repairs - Not Pala Please
MasterDon replied to MAS's question in Electrical problems
Very well said. And you're quite right. These threats of "legal action" are farce used to scare off the weak and gullible. If Ms.Pala was smart she wouldn't have made a massive deal out of it and let this thread die out...But now shit has hit the fan and the negative publicity for Pala will be ten fold. -

Any Place For Alternator Repairs - Not Pala Please
MasterDon replied to MAS's question in Electrical problems
Wow The Don is like Ranja now! Coming to the rescue of helpless car owners, protecting them from corrupt automotive electricians ...There shall be justice! There shall be vengeance!!,there shall be legal fees!!!...THERE WILL BE BLOOD!!!...for he is THE DON!....in EAP theatres island wide. Joking aside. That is mighty nice of the The Don... Speaking of Ranja...anybody remember those 90s Paila Auto ad featuring Ranjan? Anyway won't it be better to give the alternator to a reputed place and get a quote for the repair rather than OP's dad? -
Any Place For Alternator Repairs - Not Pala Please
MasterDon replied to MAS's question in Electrical problems
Hahaha what BS!...Get your head outta your a$$ Ms.Pala. These guys have been dodgy for sometime.I went with a dynamo sometime back and they asked me about 12k to repair it saying "it was a rare part".Granted the dynamo itself is rare but the internals are very common...Got it fixed from another guy for 1500 buks and it's still working fine -
Thanks guys!! :]

Aww thanks people!...Almost makes me wanna be nice to you all...almost. yup a year older and none the wiser. One more year I'd be eligible to be a classic myself.

Cut the admin some slack man.He is human afterall. And let's not forget these forums are a free service. So the admin is not obligated to do anything. We should be glad a local automotive forum is even online considering it is a very niche subject. All the best with your new car. -

There's a orange Gallardo with a guy in Negombo. -
They'll be cracking down on these assembled cars running with old books soon.I heard this from the RMV commissioner himself. It has become "an epidemic" was what he said...So beware.

HAM's custom Zonda Sadly true.Particularly in the last decade whoever filled Bernie's pockets the most got to host a race.Having said that I'm not against F1 going to emerging markets. As long as Monza,Spa,Suzuka and Silverstone remain in the calender I'm happy.

Once again the Classic Car Club of Ceylon and event sponsors Land Rover bring you the ‘British Car Day’. After the tremendous success and popularity of this truly unique event last year, the public can look forward to an event larger collection British classic cars and motorbikes from the 1930’s all the way up through the years. It will provide the public with an opportunity to feast their eyes on some spectacular cars and bikes. Iconic brands such as Aston Martin, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Lotus, MG, Triumph, Morgan, Austin Healey, Morris, Ford and many more will be on display. An iconic event such as this deserves an iconic setting and what could be better than the glorious expanses of the Town Hall grounds. A 80 car parade will begin from this amazing venue and will make it's way to the Kingsbury Hotel where the public can see them shine in all their glory until 1.00pm. We hope to see many of you there! https://www.facebook.com/events/1388068124833158

Happy new year to everybody!

Best is to remove the car from it's current location and park somewhere else cos once these vermin get the taste of a material they'll find a way to get to it no matter how much we try to block it's path.I've seen those 'uruu miyaas' eat through cement blocks. Do a very thorough visual inspection of the wire harness. Most garages would not be willing to do this but keep insisting even if it involves removing some interior panels.

After How Long Should I Cut Nd Polish After Painting
MasterDon replied to pewix's topic in General Automotive
Generally after one and a half months.Gives the paint time to 'cook' and settle. -
Absoloutely. There are some retards that just tally up the hardware spec sheet numbers and recommend that PC is the only thing for gaming. But it is so much more than that.We must look at whos looking to buy the device and their needs. In your case the need was for a dancing game for the wife and some casual gaming for you.Dance games with motion capture are practically non-existant for PC.So any argument thereafter is invalid. More than the hardware people should focus on the games.I too have whats called a gaming PC but I find myself playing the Playstation more which has inferior graphics just cos it has better games.

Me too.Apologies. I was actually quite nearby,at BMICH, but couldn't tear away from my responsibilities there.Hope you guys had fun.

Honda Vezel - Auto Lowering Mirror Is Not Working
MasterDon replied to ans's topic in General Automotive
I had a lot fun with the Axio/Allion crowd bragging about the "amazing starter button" on their cars...I'd show them the starter buttons on 1940s and 50s cars and that shut the buggers up....Yes yes I know the newer ones are keyless entry and all and guess what my cars are keyless entry too. And to those are unfamiliar with old cars.Checkout the start procedure of a 50s Brit on the video below. -
I always stop at the Thirst-Aid Station before Kegalle on the way to Kandy or N'eliya.Pretty well known place. My folks have stopping their since the 80s(It is a bit of a family tradition to stop there)....Addmittedly the the food is not what it was in the 90s but still decent. I know a few more places. Will post them in the future.

Mr and Mrs Watchman are in S'pore so they'll have no trouble finding other Xboner players...but you're right, very few xbox players in SL. Speaking of consoles,Couldnt reccomend the Vita more, amazing piece of kit.I stopped playing games on it a couple of weeks after I got it but as a web browser and a video player its amazing...most of my posts here are uploaded from it.
