  1. i don't know man,i just don't feel the italian-ness coming out of it,looks more like something the americans would put out.
  2. there's also a 250cc MVA(not sports) belonging to a retired manager of singer living in yakkala,he also has a norton manx.you're better off importing a new bike rather than restoring these old relics mate, unless u like classics. i did consider an augusta before getting the aprilia but the only available one was the F4 750,that was bloody expensive and rare. Anyway tell me if u need any help, those of us that are brave enough to go for italian(specially in sri lanka) need to stick together
  3. i've heard some people talk about two 500cc augustas that raced here in the 70's apart from that i don't know any others, maybe other bike freaks could shed some light on this.
  4. sure thing mate,I'll let ya know when its ready.
  5. at least vicki's a looker,I was once attracted to sabine schmitz(the nurbergring girl),don't judge ok
  6. hey guess who owns a panda of the topgear team---James May vicki henderson sure can drive........for a girl

  10. I'm new here, what has he done to upset u guys?
  11. yeah! if he doesn't start losing soon he'll do what schumacher did to F1. brilliant BUT boring.
  12. I got some more pics as miniace requested, the rest of our cars are in negombo,i will get photos of them next time i visit. The black MG A-This is my favorite, this very car was in the hit movie "Delowak Athara" directed by Lester James Peiris.this car is very famous because that movie is based on a hit & run accident caused by this car so this was one of the main "actors".it's very light on it's feet and very agile so there is much sideways fun to be had,i've also posted the tyres and rims we're gonna use, they give the car a very mean look much like the AC Cobra.the yellow one will have the classic MG A look. PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL! MG TC & TF-we don't drive this.it's more of a park and polish car like supra_natural said, but i can tell you it's very graceful on the road,a sure head turner PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL! Citroen 2cv-In france these are like our three wheelers, they're everywhere.the engine is tiny, only 2 cylinders. PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL! Triumph TR2-a very powerful car,as you can see there is much work to be done. PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL! The sol & the nouva. PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL! Cheers
  13. Thanks guys, actually the last one is a TR2,and the fiat(red) is a normal "BUG FIAT", the black MG A we use every day it's just up for a new paint job, shouldn't be more than two weeks, the yellow one should take a couple of months as we are waiting for some parts to arrive, the T's are in good running condition,we are planning on restoring the roadsters first and then move on to others.what do you think, any advice?
  14. Wow! devinda you got every car right but two. The"TD" is a TF and that's not a healey mate,my dad had one but he sold it when he had some money troubles,he says that's the stupidest thing he has ever done(apart from raising me).
  15. oops! forgot one---- PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL!
  16. For all the classic car affectionados of auto lanka,These are some of my dad's cars.most of them are under restoration.Let's see how many you can identify? Click on a photo for larger size PICS REMOVED...SORRY PPL!
  17. machang the same thing happened to me when I saw that red NSX the first time, nearly had a heart attack.
  18. I saw it too,in front of MC,personally i think it's just a cheap DB9 copy.
  19. I Had a RX 7 Ifini and I used MOBIL SUPER FE SPECIAL 5W-30,although Mazda recommends 5W-20,I noticed this oil lasts longer, and on a wankel engine that is notorious for consuming more oil than a normal car that is a huge advantage.I also noticed that the carbon acumilation in the engine has been significantly reduced,BUT it is more expensive. You DON'T HAVE to use this but back then I was so paranoid about my engine being ruined that I practically spent a fortune on that car,That's why I sold it and bought a Del Sol,It's not as fast but i'm no longer broke.Hope this helps...
  20. It seems a bit fishy to me,i have not heard anything about this, but i have heard from one of my friends who knows dr.lawrence(owner of micro cars) that for each micro he sells a sum of money(edit:in addition to shareholder fee) goes to one of the rajapakse brothers, maybe there was a rift and this is how they took revenge. I suggest you see if the e mail you received is genuine,if it is pay the rest and register the vehicle before they put on the tax or you could ask for your money back.I know how it feels to wait eargerly for your new set of wheels and find out at the last minute that something has gone wrong.
