Rattler, Is the P11 you are talking abt from Ja-ela? Maroon color one? That car was in last week Sunday Observer and still appears in other famous automobile site. I called the guy last Saturday and he told me he is expecting 10.5 Lacks. And told that car may need a paint job and interior also not in great condition. Good luck mate.

From Cynos to Primera or Civic gonna be fine for me. Again… that’s only for this time. Well… from your feedback I thought I should go for Primera but that 80k front suspension replacement news shook me a lil bit (urr actually not lil bit) . Before hear that my preferences are like 90% for Primera and 10% for the civic. But now it has been changed a lil bit. btw how abt the cost for a new cvt gear box guys? I’ll try to finda manual one but not sure it will be cheap like cvt one right? (I think its going cheep 'cos cvt is lil bit problematic) If I go for a cvt one will goto agents and will chk the whole system. Hmmm anyway to be honest the place for the civic in my heart still not completely gone so If I get a very good deal for a very good Vtec 98-2000 will consider it as well. Will try a virs if it would fit into my budget. I don’t want to talk abt Lancer\cedia thing. One of my friend’s dad has a red primera p11 (cvt) which is very well looked after and which I can trust. I know they maintained it from the agent and only used genuine parts. And pumped 95 oct only. For some reason, they gonna sell that in august and didn’t tell me the figures yet. Anyway I also have to wait 1-2 months (personal reason) and have a temp car these days to drive so im not in hurry. Thanks again guys, if I would have any questions farther will shoot in no time.

hmmm anyway I'm not a Corolla fan or die hard civic fan. So far I'm thinking of buying the best deal out of those 2 cars. (civic and primera) If I will get a VERY good deal will go for primera for sure. I love Peugeot 406 but have heard its not that reliable car. Correct me if I'm wrong here. One of frinds had that car for sometime. And reselling value also a main factor machan.

hmmm not bad. How much ur car cost machan? And its not brand new imported one right? What is the best way to chk the cvt box? Agents or third party? If its agents how much it will cost? Forgive me if there too much of questions.

ayyo machan for 12 lacks he could buy a nice car which is far better than Maruti ne. pls show this thread to ur friend and stop what he gonna do. And tell him to sell that and buy sth nice. I dont think even maruti buyers will be interested in modified one. you friend will be in big trouble when it come to sell the car.

I’m not a big fan of spending couple of hundred thousand money just because of couple of km’s we gain per liter. hmmm Guys, btw some people say mixing both 90 and 95 time to time is not a good thing for the engine which I had to do a couple of times. Is there any truth? You know... when you go outstations its hard or some times impossible to find 95.

I used to pump 95 for my Cynos (A\T) when the price gap was small. (Rs3.00 as I remember ) 95 clearly gave me better performance.

Thanks Gihan. Yep that’s my favorite as well. But can’t resist the temptation for the Primera HP11. Is it a reliable car? Have heard CVT gear box is problematic if not properly maintained. Other thing is petrol consumption. One of my colleagues has one and he told his one is doing 6-7 in city limit (he has no idea abt outstations). He maintains his car very well and only pump 95 oct. I don’t travel much daily so 6-7 is ok for the city but wonder how it will does in outstations.

Hi guys, after some effort I sold my Toyota Cynos and now looking forward to buy a car for my day to day run. I’m kinda thinking about following cars and I have listed those according to my preference. 1. Honda civic ek3, v-tech 1998-2000 YOM (prefer VIRS but seems its lil bit over for my budget ) 2. Primera HP11, CVT, 2000 YOM (I like this because this is a very good car can buy for lesser amt of money ) 3. Mitsubishi Lancer or Cedia 2000 or above YOM (Like the look and don't know much abt the car ) The car should have English plates as it’s a turning point when it comes to reselling. My budget is 1.6 mil. (can be adjusted slightly) Reliability and performance are other factors. Please shed your expert ideas here which will help me to select a good car for me. Thanks in advance guys.

mmmm.... Anyway I'm not into radio that much. But when it comes to news and cricket maches I do nead the radio. BTW I can return this with no problem if I can buy pioneer head unit which got USB input from LK. And I chked sri lanka radio stations frequencies. http://www.asiawaves.net/sri-lanka-radio.htm Seems like I'm not that unlucky. Stations I prefer (TNL, Light, Yes fm, Sun fm etc... ) do have odd frequencies actually seems all the channels have. but the problem is signal strengths in different areas. And still I'm curious whether I would be able to input frequencies manually. Wiating for ur guys responses... with thanks in advance.

Cant we enter frequencies manually then? Not using auto tuning. BTW this perticuler model is not avalable in sl as I know. I chk stores some time ago but they hadnt got pioneer head units with USB input.

But I wonder how long it will take to delever since I'm returning back to SL in 4th of june. Normally they are getting more time than estimated.
