  1. Yes if the things mentioned by Rumesh88 is done properly, that should hopefully sort your problem...
  2. Error code if I am not mistaken is P0172 and this came right after a tuneup where injectors were removed and fixed and additionally wurth fuel system cleaner was filled to the fuel tank. just wondering if all these had an impact to the error code to pop up once and to not come up again.
  3. Hi All. Sorry for the delay as I was busy getting things sorted. Sorry I should have mentioned my car model in the first post itself, my bad. Its a nissan n16 and as Rumesh88 and others mentioned it was the compressor stuck. Replaced the compressor and did a AC service and ran like 30kms and so far the engine didn't stop and seems its sorted. I am a bit worried as early today morning when i started the check engine came up in the 1st KM the car wasnt running that smooth and after i stopped and started the engine the check engine was off and everything was normal. lets see if the same thing happens tomorrow morning, if so could it be the pressure of petrol pump? btw thanks all for the comments, was very useful appreciate it
  4. When i was driving may be like a week back engine suddenly stopped and when i started it back again it was ok. Suddenly this happened like a few times again yesterday. i went to the garage and they said a coil was short and i replaced the coil and did a tuneup as well. once that was complete check engine appeared and the scan showed something like the fuel pressure low or similar and the mechanic said i might have to change the fuel pump and it might not giving pressure when i turn the AC on. I still didn't change the pump as he said to run a bit and see. but now every time i switch the AC on the engine stops. Car runs perfectly as long as the AC is off. Can this be a fuel pump issue? no point changing the pump if that's not the exact issue. I am confused as to what to do. Appreciate any insight as to what would the issue possibly be?
  5. Thanks Bro... got an tune up done from Mr. Dhammika Fernando and replaced the air filer as well and that sorted the issue. Thanks again

  8. My car is a Nissan N16 and recently came across this issue of when i put the car to "R" sometimes the RPM goes down and the car stops. Even on idle its like 550-600 RPMs.. No issues while running, Appreciate if someone could say whats the possible issue might be and whats the best thing to do?
  9. And about the petrol smell did u check if there is any leak in your silencer? can be a possible issue i guess..
  10. Changed the heater plug and it just went off.. (dont know if that was the reason but it went off by it self.. )
  11. well had to change the piston rings as well so the engine block n everything was removed and cleaned with high pressure water... everything is fixed now and car is in running condition.. its done about 200km since the repair and so far no issues so hopefully it stays like like... Should i do an engine tuneup now? or run as usual for sometime
  12. Thanks guys for all your inputs... appreciate it the engine is now fixed and car is ready but the check engine light is coming up now... does this usually happen when an engine is fully assembled and fixed or from a sensor.. car is still in the garage thinking of taking it for a scan tomorrow... any ideas are welcome

  15. Yes changing the brake pads.. and will be checking the rest as well... my main concern is doing all this should solve the issue right.. :S
  16. it is the QG15 and yes when speaking with the mechanic he says that the previous owners had tried to repair but haven't checked the water pump which according to him is the main issue... he showed me the water pump all the 6 blades were broken.. the engine fully removed now and according to the mechanic water pump, gasket and piston rings would do.. i wouldn't mind spending more and getting more parts if required but according to him that's all you need.. so hopefully it goes well
  17. its 123xxx something.. not exactly sure how genuine it is.. bt seems genuine
  18. No its got a chain instead.. and that seems to be ok..
  19. I bought a nissan n16 bluebird sylphy recently and it started overheating when running normally and then i showed it to a mechanic and he said i need to replace the gasket. Then we started removing the engine and found that the gasket needs replacing and further more the piston rings needs replacing as well. while doing all that the mechanic removed the water pump and was surprised to see the state of the water pump and the blades were all broken and it was like empty inside the water pump. so now decided to replace water pump as well. will doing all this sort my problem and is this the right way to do it.. Appreciate if anyone give there ideas as the engine is removed at the minute and i can do everything the right way..
  20. one of my friends had a BK12 and it has a problem with central locking which i think is common with the model.. according to what i know not many places repair it.. the engine is good powerful..
