  1. Yeah thats problem with all these buggers down here. If you want a spare wheel of the same type, it's going to be 1.5x more expensive. Mostly they just keep it and make another set of 4 out of 5 sets of 5, easy money right there.
  2. Machan don't convert that van to a truck, instead just remove fold the rear seat or fit a folding rear seat. Polish it up a little and use it as it is, especially since it is in such good condition.
  3. Could it be a 1st gen Legacy? Looks like a boxer to me.
  4. Looks like 8. Also why is there what looks like a MAF sensor on the intake tube if its carbed?
  5. Dunno about Europe, but the climate in the southern US states comes to the same as that of SL, sometimes even more so, and those are the times I wish I hadn't worn shorts to Walmart. Seriously, cloth or Alcantara seating surfaces is way more conducive to one's comfort in humid environments.
  6. A guy in the office has a Liana/Aerio wagon and it has these so called leather seats, and you do indeed need to buckle yourself if you don't want to slide about. However, the way the rear seats are cracking makes me believe they're Pleather. I dunno if they add better comfort but the wagon is pretty spacious in the rear and comfy enough. Makes a good family vehicle.
  7. Good going Speed Freak!
  8. I guess I don't get out as much as I thought I did
  9. VW Transporter, circa late 50's, early 60's.
  10. I've heard and ridden in a D-Max 2wd, they're way more quiet than the older generations. The Chevy was definitely louder climbing up the WTC incline.
  11. That really reminds me of the older GTA intros, GTA VC in particular.
  12. Tunes of note to come up on my Zune shuffle today include: 1) Hyperballad - Bjork 2) Dare - Gorillaz 3) Dani California - RHCP 4) Superfabulous - BT 5) Hummer - Smashing Pumpkins 6) Pride - Syntax And finally APC/Tool's rendition of Ozzy's Diary Of A Madman to the melody of Lovesong by The Cure (well I cheated on that, I felt like listening to it so I scrolled to it). Sounds complicated, but it really is an epic track.
  13. I've seen that blue Chevy hanging around WTC. It's got an ugly sounding diesel engine. Why didn't fit an Isuzu diesel in it, I'll never know
  14. Yeah they go there too, but they also go to this military installation as well. I meet up with them on a regular basis outside of Colombo to drive our monster trucks and whatnot.
  15. Being direct is a very bad habit of mine
  16. Yup Peugeot 203. I only see the one my relative owns, back in the village. Haven't seen any in Colombo any time recently.
  17. Haven't seen one of these in a while.
  18. Honda KR42? Interesting. Seriously, if you took the time to register and then validate your registration, would it have killed you to post in the Toyota forum, or were you just too lazy to scroll?
  19. He said he was mixing it at 40%-50%. It was running seriously high compression as I remember.
  20. Seriously creepy. There's some grains I've come across that just made me wanted to scratch at them till my fingers bled.
  21. I had a neighbour once who would drive his way too modified rat rod on Toluene. The only added benefit was sniffing the rag and getting high afterwards. As for the Cayenne, I bet that mega bottle's worth of fuel just about got him to the next shed.
  22. R/C aircraft are banned AFAIK. I know some people who have special permission to fly them inside an Army installation, the only place one is legally allowed to fly them. Land vehicles aren't banned perse, its the radios which are the problem due to the range. You can easily get a kit or a rolling chassis in the mail as long as there are no electronics, customs will just declare them a toy. The guys in HK usually ship kits in plain cardboard boxes without any box art etc., which makes dealing with the customs a lot easier too, just in case you're unlucky enough to be set with a customs "agent" with basic deductive reasoning. As for fuel, nitro fuel is banned for import by Air Freight, more so for pure nitro. I'm an electric person myself, because nitro isn't allowed in my community back home. They're all powered by brushless motors and run either 16.8v or 25.2v systems with Lithium Polymer batteries. They're every bit as fast, if not faster, than Nitros, and quickly becoming the trend in the States these days.
  23. Agreed, and the Zonda is a proper driver's car, without all the electronic "idiot proofing", and powered by an engine already in production. Of course I'm not claiming I can drive either to save my life, I scared myself driving a certain white WRX with a CF hood two years ago.
  24. Driving on Baseline Saw an SUV Took closer Look OMG Cadillac Escalade!
  25. Nissan Murano perhaps? And I saw a Cadillac Escalade on the Baseline as I was driving home an hour ago, RHD and red G plates. Anyone familiar with it?
