  1. Why is it that they fail to identify these weaknesses at the design face?
  2. 1.8 Centrino Core 2 Duo, 512+256 RAM, DVD writer, WiFi 80GH HDD and a lot more extras.
  3. I got a Toshiba Sattelite A100 for about 100k, it's sort of a budget package from the otherwise expensive Toshiba brand. And I'm using my desktop for the 24/7 downloads.
  4. Beware of bimmers that are rarely run. Bimmers are made to be used. I know a lot of vehicles that had problems coz they were sitting in the owners garage most of the time.
  5. post your e-mail, will contact you with a special price.
  6. I can get you a good deal if you're interested. I had my car on the classifieds, Contact admin, he will divert you to me.
  7. What sort of prices did you come across for the 320D s?
  8. I left out the Hilux and Sportero coz they are rather trucks, not SUVs. But if you're considering trucks also, I'de say both the Sportero and Hilux are good choices. I would place them equally, although the Hilux will have slightly better resale value. Another thing I forgot is that not only the Sport but also the Sorento are quite old in design and most likely to be discontinued from 2008. Mitsubishi is still offering the Sport in the European market and in Australia/New Zealand regions, and I'm sure they get enough sales. So if it can be sold in more quality consciuos markets, I beleive it's good enough for a third world contry like ours. On the sport that Unimo has for display interior is not all that great. When I went to see the Toyota range I felt they also had started using 'hard plastic" like the Koreans, to cut cost.
  9. It's not the Auris they're offering. It's the Corolla Axio. The car is only launched in Japan. Try a google search, you get some links.
  10. SUVs on offer Montero Sport Sorento Sportage Tucson SantaFe 2wd Ssanyong Kyron Ssangyong Actyon Terios Petrol Montero sport is ancient technology with the chasis of a double cab. All the Korean SUVs mentioned above are leagues ahead of the Sport and packed with options. But my opinion is that Mitsubishi technology ihas been proven in Sri lanka for a long time. But have any of us experience with Korean diesel vehicles? Buying a Korean Diesel SUV is venturing into uncharted territory. It might prove itself in 5 years. But there's a big "MIGHT". In european reviews the Sorento scores more than the Sport or any other SUV mentioned here. But the Sport offered here will be the 2007 UK spec model. Not the ancient one with the 2.8 ltr engine, rather a 2.5 Intercooler Turbo. But comparing it with the Mercedes lended 3rd gen Common Rail diesel on the Ssanyongs the Mitsu fails miserebaly. Ancient technology has it's pros, less electronics to go wrong and even the common 'bas' bugger can fix it. This is a tough decision to make. Even though I decided on the Montero sport, I'm still in doubt of my own decison after seeing the spec sheets for these Korean SUVs.
  11. Even though there has been many requests to the government by the permit holders' there has been no change to the orginal conditions so far.

My guess is that DevZ is talking about the black one which is a legit import.
  14. And how do you suggest you connect your laptop to your ECU? And how much is the interface and program going to cost? It definetly won't be free. Considering you have to buy all that I say it'll be cheaper going to the agents, or and expert who already has the stuff.

I agree with Velocity. Asking price is way too much, considering what would have been its real cost.
  16. Madz check the Sunday Times #####, there were some ads for camera repair joints.
  17. In what car did Ashan score 2nd place? In the ford laser or the grand civic? BTW the winner's name is Shan. He had clocked the fastest timing at the Mini track event that was held at the same location about 2 weeks back. Congrats to all the winners.
  18. Pictures from the ###### Time Attack event is available at my FlickR gallery. http://www.flickr.com/photos/prasannan/set...1486012/detail/ Madz will upload them to the Autolanka gallery soon.
  19. Ex -Glanza owner here.
  20. He runs a wheather beaten defender 90 with the thinest tires on earth. And still manages to come free from the mud. From what I've seen you've got to give some credit to the man.
  21. I think Velocity is talking about his "Gona Model Pajero"..
  22. Lovely...
  23. Same thing happened to me a week back. I was nicely PARKED on the roadside and talking on speaker phone. Then a cop a bit far away waved me to move out. So I cut the call and while having the phone in hand started driving off. When I got close to him, he suddenly stopped me and said if I'm done with the call to put it into the pocket. And since I had the phone in hand he was going to give me a ticket. I blasted him in filth, put the car in to gear and pulled off. Through the mirror I saw him taking down my number, but I haven't had any arrest warrants yet. What they are trying to do is fill their ticket quota for the day or simply looking for a bribe.
  24. There's a separate exchange for Millennium City Housing complex. So I assume the usage is at its lowest.
  25. I'm @ Athurugirya where they just launched ADSL. Connection is pretty decent. No major break downs that I've noticed
