well... a warning light comes on with the check engine light.. both will turn on together...thats the time where u need to use the switch, as per the Toyota Company's instructions, the vehice should be parked when the clearing process is taking place, it takes roughly about 15-20minutes to get the whole thing cleared and the switch automatically gets deactivated once it is done.

Yep.. you can get it fixed from Toyota Lanka. They get down these switches once you place an order, its pretty expensive though.

AFAIK Hiace KDH are too light on the rear end, and its not at all ground holding.

well... I'll tell u one thing, dont EVER put your car to swedish trading for body repairs or painting jobs... mechanical repairs they seem to be ok... I own a Waja.. there are few outside people who brings down parts for Proton... But Maruchi Lanka is shit man.... they are selling second hand doors double the price of brand new doors, lol but its damn cheap if u could directly import from Malaysia.. a brand new tail light costs u around Rs.5000 odd there is a person in pitakotte and another fellow in ratmalana who imports Proton parts... if u want i can PM u the contact nombers bro.. but before buying from outside, just inquire the price of that particular from the company

Swedish Trading doing a great job??? lol u havent faced the reality yet... we ordered a brand new right hand side front door from swedish trading for our Proton Waja & when we went to collect the door, it has been damaged due to their carelessness. we didnt collect it & the guy who was in-charge simply said to the worker "put it inside our store, we can sell it to another proton waja owner" this is one of the bad experience that we had with swedish trading. Earlier we had a Proton Wira which we bought from D*MO (Prev Proton agent) and they did a wonderful service.. but swedish........pffffffffffffffff

you dont really have to pay more. For 4.3mn u can get a 2006 model Allion which came as brand new that has all the options rather than buying a 2007 model basic Axio X grade. otherwise u can import an Axio X grade personally and save bunch of your notes

for how many years you're planning to use the car??? i would say better u go for the Axela.. you're gonna loose only a few laks when selling it back...

Go for a G grade axio, if u cant afford for a G geade then go for the Allion rather than ending up with a X grade Axio which doesnt even have a RPM meter & climate control A/C

Guyz, recently i had a great experience with Proton Spares.. its funny though recently i went to M*R*ch* L*N*A at Nugegoda to buy a right hand side front door for my fathers Proton Waja & the freaking guy quoted me Rs. 80,000/- for a second hand door panel, when i asked him why is it so expensive that fellow gave me a simple answer saying that they are the only people who import Proton second hand spare parts. but when i inquired the price of a brand new door from Swedish Trading they said that they can import a brand new door for less than Rs.45,000/- inclusive of VAT. if u need any Proton spare parts such as doors, boot lids or bonnet first inquire the brand new prices from Swedish Trading before going for second hand spares

my father bought a brand new Waja in 2006 (Auto tranny) & still we're using it.. so far no major probs with the car... has done nearly 60,000kms & does around 8kmpl in colombo rush hour with a/c (even a Carina gives the same fuel figure within colombo)...it has a good pulling power & the weight of the car makes it really stable(thanks to lotus ride & handling). but the build quality is not upto the standard of Jap vehicles,interior space is similar to a Vios, but i think reconditioned vehicles which came from Singapore are not maintained very well....spare parts are cheaper than Jap vehicle spare parts(but not durable as the Japs ) its damn cheap if u could directly bring them down from malaysia...all in all its a good car...

50% tax off brought down the prices of vehicles only by few laks(talking about vehicles that are in the range of 3-4million) & how come a 15% off could cut down 1 mn of a vehicle that is currently 7million?????
