i cannot tell much about the M6 as i dont have much experiance, About the Vz-R as far as i know in there are 3 Vz-R sunny FB15's available GS plates which is now running with a turbo setup , HR - plates dark grey & KB plates white. These cars had the white dials with the rev range upto 9k & can actually rev upto about 8400k. where as a normal FB15 splend has only upto 8k mine is Vz-R pulsar sedan , so the information might vary slightly on the Sunny version about fuel consimption with 15"wheels i used to get 8 - 9km/ltr in colombo depending on the distance without pushing too much (example i do lot of short runs and it gave about 8, 2kms - 3 km's runs so the stop/start sequence is really more ) where as if you can run atleast about 10km run's without stopping the engine you can get about 9. ( i used to go to work from kaduwela to rajagiriya i got 9 - 9.5 including some colombo running, outstation i have got around 12 with 15"wheels since i'm running 16"with 205/55/16 ( original tire size 195/55/15) outstation now i get around 11 & colombo short distances i get around 7.5km/ltr . since now i run less than 1,500kms a month ( some times less than 1,000k) it is in my affordable range. for Pulsar Vz-R spares are not a problem . all suspension parts are freely available with agents as well as lot of dealers as well . as milindu mentioned the older primera P11 with SR20DE manual has good low end torque, but the 1.6 is also not bad when you look at the roads in Sl , i have red lined on the 2nd with 4 people in the car in kadugannawa hill without a problem so this is a very subjective thing . About the Vz-R Original Badge only few cars have that now, but it is always good to get a car with all the original bits . hope this helps ...cheers

hi Prad, Machan i think even through people say all these figures it depends on lot of things when some one says Colombo running - , when i used to travel from kaduwela to rajagiriya in traffic including colombo running i used to get 9km - 9.5km/ltr per Full tank ( From My wifes place ) . at the same time when i travel from kohuwala( From my house ) to rajagiriya & in colombo it does only about 7 - 8 and got 8.5 - 9 on the 15"wheels instead of 16"s if i advertise my car saying 9-10km/lt & the guy who buys it travels from dehiwala to bamba he will shoot me within a month same way daihatsu charade Box shape 32 non turbo one of my friends were getting 17 km/ltr from kiribathgoda to fort , that bugger goes most of the time in the 3rd lane so most of the time he's moving . same car was bought by another friend of mine in kalubowila & he was going to maradana & the car was doing around 10 - 12 talk to a guy who goes to colombo from kottawa, homagama area, they wont belive when we say 7km/ltr in City running they they most ly get 10 ,12 , 13 on avg sedans . just my too cents , think about these also when you are looking at fual consumption with the other aspects. As velo city pointed out in a different thread ( some time back) as long as you are happy with the amount of money goes for a month on fuel dont worry about the milage, as we are spending lot of unnessasory money for other thngs, ( i dont ageee on this fully & still checking ways to increase my fuel consumption, thats human nature i guess )

i have used the NS70 maintenance free battery in the Vz-R & i got 2 replacements within 1 year , the final replacement battery lasted only for about 1 yr. so shifted back to the normal exide Ns70 which i have been using for the last 2 1/2 yrs still running fine according to browns when i went for the last checkup.

hey machan i already noticed it the back looks a bit weired as it is. a bit longer than the original Y60. but at this moment i cannot go back to the original spec as the guy have already converted the jeep into a Y60 80%. looking at the price of the book & the metal i think it is worth if i do it up properly, a jeep which was converted to a Y60 the same way was sold at 14 lakhs which i wouldnt have have even considered, of course it was a 31 sri . if i',m in for it i will do it properly or will forget it , only problem is my mini is under painting , i have bought a Moke which is still at home needs 100% attention . i only have garage space forr two vehicles . this is too much for me unless it comes as a bargain, which it looks like .

Thanks Guys for the Feedback, in the jeep which i'm referring the Front two doors, mudguards, grill have already been replaced with Y60 parts, the rear Quater panels have been tinkered to Y6-0 Specs, which i will see tommorow. at the moment the jeep is stripped to bare metal & according to the Owner all the parts are available , which i'm yet to see . the price tag is about 6, i will negotiate once i see ihe stuff, will keep you posted on this .

thanks guys for the comments, This particular vehicle is in the process of the conversion to a Y60 & the tinkering is already done now & he is going through a very bad time on finances so needs to dispose this urgently , lets see i have given an offer & waiting for the reconfirmation,

i have been using potenza's through out & i would say extrmely good handling, less noise & lovely grip , sadly now it has gone beyond my budget so had to settle for some thing cheaper. today i got a set of nankang NS -II 's 205/55/16's at Rs. 10,960 each what i heard about roadstone is it is very comfy, but the Side wall is too thin ITSEAMS, these were comments given by certain type dealers. otherwise these were costing about 1,500/= cheaper than Nankang. you can try Olymic tyre center near Royal institure , they give good prices on Roadstones

i normally repair my Mini with D##id T#dd , in kohuwala & my car will be going for a complete paint job including tinkering this week end i have seen couple of mini's which he has painted & those looks good . if you are interested i can give you the details.
