Ha ha good one Devinda No unethical conversions. All came on their own free will!! They were just about to eat a juicy bale of straw when we showed them a Strawberry field That's all really
  2. When I was a new member I wasn't happy the way I was treated. On a certain occassion my guests and I were humiliated. I then kicked up a massive row (not in public the way some people have tried and made asses of themselves). In wrote strong letters to the comittee expressing my displeasure. I discussed the matter in a civil way with some of the other senior members. Before I knew it the then Prez was on "Machan" terms with me . He made a reluctant appology, somewhat disguised as well But from, that time we (the young crowd) were treated well! Of course we constantly give feedback to the higher-ups we are close with....
  3. I'm 99.999% certain that everything will go UP
  4. Of course I do. Couldn't have put it better. This guy Satta Puglia is the dude who designed the legendary twin cam. 70 kilos lighter than Lampredi's Fiat TC and over 100kilos lighter that the Lotus TC. A production run of 40+ years, Plus a competition record that no 4-pot can ever hope to match! Legendary!
  5. Well, Ferrari is the most profitable part of FGA. The jewel in the crown it is usually know as.... They should not mess with the jewel too much. That said. Ferrari had another record year with a sales increase of 17.1% if I remember right. Luca Di Monto said that with the recession the waiting list would come down to a year from the current two. And that's more desirable Is he cool or what!? But I think he's a bit too overconfident.

AGM will be next month. After that the new comittee will have to plana calendar of events!
  7. Believe me guys it's not an easy job. And a thankless one at that...... So I think we should make do with our existing club but fight for our rights none the less.
  8. As unsavoury as it may sound. I think they should quit for the next couple of years. They're a small company and need to strengthen themselves financially to survive this economic down-turn.
  9. Oh I am sooooooooo relieved!

Yes yes I'm glad Was begining to feel kind of lonely out here. Yeah the competition pedigree is there, we need to verify about the wins/placings etc - But the guy is/was the best driver in SL I have seen in action. What's of more value though is the name of the 1st registered owner

Welcome CHAP! Nice car! It will be a wicked little devil when done. You'll be able to scare many many modern cars.
  12. It's coming out very well. I think the owner is going to post some pics soon... Triumph 2000 is a shame. The registered owner is still said to be ME!!!!
  13. Good idea!
  14. As you and I know there are some "un"real classics in the club as well. And if anything some of the older members are adding cars that have zero history in SL. Very mysterious!!!! I'm not against or for non original cars. But the rule must apply to all without any discrimination!
  15. Another waster. Luckily we rescued the Sud from him.
  16. When you saw the rear only ??
  17. Maybe the guy visits this forum
  18. Is there any possibility of knowing what this exciting car is??
  19. What a pity. If I were you I would talk and find out exactly what the problem was. You really should. If your mini is not an original they could make a fuss. But then you've got a Fiat 600 as well.

Actually I agree. It's no beauty. Fuction takes precedence. People upgrading from an EvobaruGTR will feel at home

    Alfa Romeo

    A deal? http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/06/ebay-fi...-in-triplicate/
  23. As Milindu says, you should phone them and find out the reason why you were rejected. Btw who were your proposers and seconders? Perhaps they could find out!? Btw again what are the two classics you own?
  24. It's officially 1940-1970. Of course I do not agree with this, but that's the club's official line. Ot's a highly debatable subject as you know. There's also a class called "Associate memeber". You don't have to have a car, but intend to buy one etc.... They seem to have go quite strict recently. the applicant has to go for an interview which wasn't the case when I joined. They are also quite sensitive to the originality of the car...... Although there are some cars that seem to pass thru their radar undetected now and again.

I think it's something to do with the auction prices. Not THE greatest 10 Alfas of all time... But then again some of these will definitely overlap with such a list. Look at that Giulia GTA at $83K
