Kudos to the spin wizard! An excellent record for Murali/the whole country to be proud of! The idiots who criticize his bowling actions even after the fact he's been cleared by the governing body are clearly attention whores...... Enjoyed the replies that "never heard of" Bedi got 4 his story.....

WOW....Congrats Darin!.....i hope i dnt drool 2 much over it.....
-
Other than the fact that i bought it just 2 days before the tax cut....No regrets.... it was well taken care of & most importantly Senok certified accident free
-
Glad 2 hear there are.... Oh yeh the one @ the kohuwala is a famous one.....
-
Yep. Tks. How much was the seller asking 4 the one with "2 many options"?
-

Oil Sleek..pls Sugest Me A Good Place To Fix This..
EXMAC replied to riddle's topic in General Automotive
+2 looks like power steering oil leak.....if this is the case as mentioned by ripper u will loose a lot of PS. oil specially when u turn & the reservoir will also start to empty at a rapid pace..... when i bought my car i had a similar issue....i was told my CV Joint had to be replaced (u will get a noise when u turn when ur CV joint is busted) but i ended up replacing the power steering rack, the CV joint with the boot (the rubber thing connecting the CV joint).... -
Hmmmm....unlikely i guess....i think this vote on account thing wont address any serious policy issues, & it's abt just allocating a budget for spending......

Logic....never heard of it..... A good VTEC ek3 is well within 2.4 Mil even less, maybe around 2 - 2.1 is a good buy, however finding a VTEC one is a bit tough, u get a lot of EXI (non-vtec) ..... ES8 are a bit more than the EK3 but u can negotiate a deal for 2.4 i guess....

Advertised 2.375 Mil.....

Yeh the embossed chassis No. is there....& by my noob observation it doesn't look like it's been tampered with...but i'v been advised not 2 buy it b'cos the VIN Plate is not there.....

Hi guys, I'm a noob and need some advice on the above.....I'm was checking out a ES3 Honda RS recently and it was a pretty nice car....but the VIN "Plate" thing was missing the seller said it was misplaced when he had done a paint job.....but the Chassis No. engraved on the body was there....a few more details of the car engine had done 93K (I was doubtful abt this), recently painted (again something i was told to watch out for), Manual (i was told it was not converted from auto or tiptronic)..... so i did the background check got it checked by the RMV & it came out ok...chassis No., engine No....all matching....I even got the condition report from Stafford & it was in good condition, there was no immediate mechanical problems.... but they highlighted the missing VIN plate, the engine No. was re imprinted (or something like that) and the master pump not correctly aligned.... Appreciate the advice on this scenario....tks in advance!

Well mate as mentioned by many resale will be the tough part.....the mkt. 4 a Subaru is quite limited.....but given it's a 2004 model & assuming mileage is low......there will be some (hopefully rich ) enthusiasts.... Maintenance again since it's a reasonably new model (u normally get only the 99' or 2000' B4's over here) & mileage is low i would assume u wont get any serious running issues.....hence maintenance shouldn't be a big issue 4 u..... I'm just a noob...I have never driven a Subaru yet..... but doing my ground work hopefully 2 get a 2000 B4 but finding a accident free, reasonably well maintained car, within my budget is quite difficult..... If i was in ur shoes & had the dough u could easily guess what i would go 4 given ur 3 choices.... P.s. sent a PM with sum more info. that could help u out...

There was a pretty nice 2004 B4 Legacy for sale at a Kirulapana car sale, opposite Dankotuwa showroom, it was not on display....u will have to go an inquire about it.... it was going for abt 3.4 mil or somewhere around that price...I'm sure u can negotiate a better price.... Happy hunting!

Was considering the same mate....but i feel it may be just out of my reach though there r 2 B4's a TT & a non turbo on AL.....did u chk them out? link below there was another Silver B4 at a place in Kohuwala, it's regularly advertised on the Hitad. also would there be a noticeable reduction in the fuel consumption if it was a non-turbo? http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=12692

I agree with the Nissan coming out with the 1.5l engine but i also was highlighting the weight factor factor as well..... anyways yeh I'm a noob...... so no need 2 get the mighty ppls. panties in a knot over this.....

Yes I hav a soft spot 4 Honda's & yes I hav a EG8 but I'm not saying they r "automatically more powerful" compared to all brands....BUT wen u consider the small sedan range the Honda does hav an advantage against some brands for eg. Nissan Justification: My colleague has an Nissan FB15 it has a 1300cc, EG8 has a 1500cc (rounded up of course) this is the obvious power advantage The next is the power to weight ratio (i think) FB15 weighs 1100KG & the EG8 has 1010KG, u do the math.....this i checked frm the registration.... Another frnd of mine also had a Nissan N16 not sure if it's a version of the FB15 or vise versa but same scenario.....this is my experience compared to the Nissan Brand Not sure abt the others...... Fuel consumption is a variable & u cant relate it to performance it very much depends on the condition of the vehicle.....

I knw a guy who uses a 600 CBR as a daily commuter.... More to the topic....I 2 agree with the majority better stick 2 a Honda cant go wrong with them
-
Also notice at a main junction, Why in gods sake do they have 2 have a pedestrian crossing right there @ a right or a left turn!! & 2 make it worse whenever the light turns green & ur making the turn a pedestrian will be crossing & ur stuck in a junc. with the green light creating a jam so that u cant do any bloody thing till the pedestrian crosses.....& u cant purely blame the pedestrian b'cos as mentioned, the law is favoring the pedestrian specially @ the crossing & he can do whatever @ the crossing.... It's purely the fault of the dumb ppl who design these junctions.....no common sense @ all....Y the bloody hell cant these ppl have a crossing a few yards away....
-
Yep Pedestrian RULZZZ @ the pedestrian crossings......

EXMAC replied to MADZ's topic in General Automotive
I stay close to Havelock rd. & there seems 2 be a significant reduction in the traffic on the Havelock road streach with the Dehiwala flyover opening...thank god 4 that -
