    Nissan Cefiro 2000

As far as I know dashboard cracking issue was on the S’pore imported N16’s.

  3. It’ll be really difficult if not impossible to find a pair of Angel eye headlamps for a Xsara locally. Only chance you have is to order it via web or get someone to bring it down from UK. Enough Angel eyes and Lexus types are available elsewhere for Xsaras.
  4. You can’t disagree with him since he got a taste for cheap common stuff and hate superior products than what he own. And don’t expect him to come up with a valid reason to justify his statement, which he never does. All you can expect from is “Don’t go for… Don’t buy… I don’t believe in… bla... bla…
  5. I actually expected a Rs.5/- to 10/- reduction. So all the advantage by cancelling the hedging deal goes back to the Govt. pocket. B.G. stated this is a mini budget targeting not only one segment of goods (i.e. Petrol) but passing the benefit to other commodities well. So I’m wondering the Gas and Kerosene prices stood stable in the world market despite the world oil prices fallen down drastically & the Govt. is passing the benefit they gained only on the reduced world oil prices. How thoughtful they’re!!! All the Diesel car owners officially declared common society (mind you Diesel Merc or Prado owner falls in to this category), or in other words petrol car owners declared wealthy whether you drive a 10 year old Maruti or an Aston. I’m filthy rich because I pump 95.
  6. Happy B’day machan…. Wising you all the best… Welcome to the 30’s club. Since we’re having an AL G2G soon, you can throw your party there. Lol…
  7. Surprise surprise…. Petrol is reduced by Rs.20/- and Diesel by Rs. 10/-. I hope they’ve reduced the margin of the 95 as well. Happy new year ! ! ! .......................... Damn…. Petrol Only by Rs 2/- If you own a 3-wheler you have a Rs. 20/- concession rate.
  8. My thinking is, they (the Govt.) will reduce the price of fuel by Rs. 5/- to 10/- after their schedule meeting on the 7th Jan. And our so called patriots will jump up and down and will justify the govt’s patriotism toward the country. That’ll be that.

    Auto Lanka G2g

Refurbished food court is open now with new ambiance. Nice looking but very uncomfortable globe seats. With food, no choice at all, either Sri Lankan or Chinese, and only couple of choices.
  10. Good guess guys. IOC back to Rs. 122/- Merry Christmas ! ! !
  11. Actually they’ve tried to implement laws on loud exhaust and etc by implementing a new law. One of my cousins was involved in designing the new law, she told me about this first. But that was more than 6 months back. Even that time they were facing loads of complications on the matter. Must have given up…
  12. U r talking abt the S15 right? Tell them those exhausts are manufacturer standard and they comes with the car. If they need any clarification ask them to contact A*W. Once I was stopped and told my exhausts are too big (in the P11). I asked them to bend and checked the exhaust barrel for the manufacturer name, & told him off … Mind you, though they are big in size, very quite in noise. (Nismo) Anyway there is no restriction or redline for exhaust noise levels stipulated in the law. So use a bit of your “ I know the law” attitude if necessary.
  13. OH... MY....GOD ! ! ! Have seen so many funny badges and stickers on tuk-tuks, but first time I saw a 3-wheeler (or 4-wheeler) with a body kit. Sooner some one will think of a body kit like that huyandai coupe... may be with Lambo doors.

    Bmw M1 Reincarnated!

Front looks ugly IMO, But the rear is very well designed, really like it. I’m ok with the badge positioning, as someone said frying pan looking wheels looks utter ugly.

    Tyre Psi's For Colombo

I consider under inflating the tyre is a no... no, in every aspect. You’ll loose fuel efficiency, more wear & tare on your tires, less performance, poor maneuverability, the only thing you get is better comfort. If you want comfort above all of the above points, then have a slightly less Psi on your tires. According to some, Maximum tyre pressure - 10% is the best in economy & performance. (i.e. If your tyre indicates the maximum recommended tyre pressure as 40psi, then 40-10% = 36psi) Ya… in CMB roads it may be too rugged. I used to air them to 29-30. But since then I got a new pair of rubber, I do a 32 all around. Slightly hard but not too much I would say. I’ve tested with a tankful for the new economy. Definitely better than it used to be. Not enough evidence to prove it though. I think the new set of tyre has a lot in that increase as well.
  16. This one.... I saw a new black one lately... Is that the one???? We sure need a AL G2G

  24. Latest news… The cabinet has decided NOT TO reduce the petrol prices going against the SC decision. A special decision to be taken by the cabinet according to news sources. Don’t know regarding what?
  25. I was actually hoping to drop in. But I’m bit skeptical with the on going fuel crisis.
