  1. I'm also gonna register my vote for White!! italian cars somehow look great in that color... Don, great to hear things are going along swimmingly with those two projects, was glad to help in whatever way possible, cant wait to see them on the road!!
  2. actually, anyone reading the initial post can clearly see that LeSabre has THREE choices, and is trying to choose between them. Did you even read the original post Nilantha?
  3. Sorry boss.... This individual tends to get my goat a tad when he posts stuff of this nature, Post edited.
  4. Also one needs to bear in mind that hondas tend to attract the "idiot" type more often than the other brands. No offense to honda owners (I drive one too), its just that a lot of those of a hooligan persuasion tend to gravitate towards hondas, since they are viewed as "performance" cars by that portion of society, and thus the used market tends to have a higher percentage of abused hondas than it does other cars. If you look at several cars and pick a good, well looked after one though, Hondas are considerably more interesting choices than the other jap brands (with the possible exception of Mazda), with the same plus points of durability, ease of maintenance, parts availability, economy etc
  5. That lovely looking thing is a Fiat 124 Sport Coupe. some hard work there prad! Kudos to you machan, cant wait to see her on the road!!
  6. Its most likely a fuse issue... just take the car along to any decent Auto Electrician and it should be a minor issue to sort out. Also, you'll find it useful to ignore the comments made by Nilantha, he generally contributes little of use if a NISSAN owner needs help. He has a bit of a personal vendetta against Nissan for some strange reason. Hope you get your issue sorted soon
  7. By second generation you mean the 1980's LN85? Personally speaking, I have a 1993 LN106 and have always felt that the standard brakes were damn good for a pickup truck, have served me well on more than one occasion.
  8. Was initially reluctant to do so because of a number of issues, But went ahead and put the report anyway just to be on the safe side
  9. seen pictures of it on Top Gear and elsewhere.... IMO not really a very good copy, and even in pictures it gives off an impression of being cheap and tinny. So really there's nothing to say about it other than the fact that just yet another example that the Chinese have never heard of the phrase "Intellectual Property" or the word "Copywright"...
  10. Fully agree with this, 3rd party is ok as long as the car is rarely driven and kept in one place, but IMO not very practical for a vehicle that is used on a day to day basis, especially in the urban warfare that is workday traffic. P.S. Had a good experience with Cey_linco today, GF's car was sideswiped by a bus in pepiliyana, They arrived within 10 minutes, did a quick assesment and passed the claim, all within half an hour! Didnt even require a report, although they advised filing one "for your own peace of mind". What ever else they are guilty of, the insurance arm I have to say is still pretty good!
  11. wow GTtam... MR2 is looking AWESOME!! I see the matte black choice turned out pretty well!
  12. Or it could just as equally be an unwise decision... Just because a lot of people do it, that doesnt mean its right.
  13. actually that little car they make, the privilege i think it's called, is a Hafei Lobo which has been rebadged. So that might be what he's on about.
  14. Overall Id say the show failed to live up to expectations... there were almost NO agent displays for one thing, and the displays seemed placed in a very haphazard manner too! quite dissaoointing IMHO... The saddest thing i saw was that blue Datsun 260Z that was on display outside. Sadly that Moron osanda had managed to get his claws on to it, with predictably hideous results! Damn shame considering how rare early Z's are in SL. The Cobra Rep was neat though, also managed to talk to the guy who built it, but couldnt start it.... Stingray you lucky bugger!!
  15. me too, it seemed to be decently well done, was running a proper V8 too! managed to have a chat with the guy who was responsible for building it, foreign bloke, Said that car was for sale for 3.5 million, and one could be built from the ground up for around 4-4.5 mill at todays costs.
  16. we have a 2006 or thereabouts 3.0V6 1. The average fuel consumption (real figures in city driving)? - 4.5-6 is about the range 2. Common problems in the MPI version engines if there are any? - None so far, but the 3.0L engine appears to be quite underpowered for such a large vehicle.... I think it was only offered to make it cheaper when the taxes were increased. 3.5l and especially the 3.8 are MUCH better 3. Is there a thing called a GDI engine that does not give any trouble when used 95 octane petrol? fuzzo and prad have answered this quite well... the "GDI problems" dont appear to affect the Monteros, personally have only heard of GDI engines giving trouble on Cedias and the like, 4. Any known mechanical problems? (for example with the auto-transmission, suspension, brakes etc.) - Nope, although personally i think that the Brand new spec version isnt all that comfortable, suspension is very stiff and the ride is hard when compared to, say something like a prado, or a Euro or American SUV. And in my experience after a while the vehicle starts to develop the occasional rattle and squeak 5. The current selling price/s depending on the engine type? - as stated above, 4.5 mill and up. If possible try and go for a JDM Version as they are better specced and more comfortable all round Also, how the Montero would compare with the Diesel Rextens? (apart from the obvious diesel economy) The rexton is quite a decent vehicle, only problems are the occasional issues with build quality, but those too are being sorted out. It's also a decent choice, with the advantage of being a newer vehicle.
  17. Dunno about soltron, but the Nano fuel saver thingy is just absolute BS of the highest order.... a quick google will show dozens of occasions where the same type of thing has been tested and found to do absolutely nothing at all! The whole Nano thingy appears to be something designed specifically to prove the old saying "A Fool and his money are soon parted"... The promoters make doubly sure by engaging the endorsement of that Quack Alawatte.
  18. This thing is an ACTUAL bentley by the looks of it, look through the windscreen at the window line, and the shapes of the seats all appear consistent with a Continental GT, maybe somebody fixed a Hyundai badge as a joke.... OR It could be a chopped about Coupe/Tiburon
  19. generally, along with your warning level increase, there is a message from the mod/admin who did the warning providing the reasons why.
  20. ah the same story all of us face at some point during a resto! Yes my car is back on the road (for the moment anyway)!
  21. maybe the one this weekend? Looking Superb CHAP!! whats next on the agenda?

The 18, 19 - and upwards 3 Series, the one with the square glass headlights, is called the E36. VVTI just bought one, he should be able to comment.
  23. dude, people have explained why we assumed you to be pulling a cheap marketing trick, and to be honest that was exactly what it seemed like.... regardless, NO ONE CARES... Not about some crappy indian shitbox, nor pathetic attempts to market it, nada. so case closed, topic dropped MOVE ON.
