  1. Dayum!! just LOOKING at it is painful.... glad you're ok though Mani, maybe it IS time to go hunt for something really fast with Four wheels eh?
  2. ALERT! ALERT! Guerilla Marketing in progress!
  3. Hmm.. tough one.. How about, ascend A to M, E to R and subtract 83 from the numerical value?
  4. Would that number be AE85?
  5. While Im all for the idea of resurrecting a sierra if the logistics can be worked out (it IS quite an interesting thing), an RS cosworth conversion is probably something that shouldnt be contemplated on this particular car. The main reason for this is that unlike say, the subaru impreza or mitsubishi evolution, their are very substantial differences between a stock sierra and the RS cosworth, probably the most important one being the fact that the RS was based on a specially strengthened and modified Two door Sierra. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Sierra_RS_Cosworth as you can see, That generation of Cosworth was exclusively two door so i doubt there will be a straightforward way to do a "conversion", short of maybe picking and mixing parts from the later generation which DID come as a four door.... IMO you should simply go ahead with with your restoration idea by finding a complete car and bringing it down in bits... If you can find one which has the V6 engine, you'll have a car that's plenty rapid enough for SL conditions, while still being interesting and different... Anyway, best of luck mate, and let us know how it goes.
  6. Does this toyota's name have 6 letters, start with C and end with A?
  7. Actually guys, i think the new golf CAN be had as a 4 door GTi, the road test done by the motor mag some time ago of a gti was indeed of a 4 door.... As far as i know, the GTI has been available as a 4 door since the Mk3 Golf.
  8. Many happy returns of the day mate! have a great one
  9. That is by far the best and most optimistic piece of reporting i've seen in the past few days.... however, a read through the comments shows that about half of the commentators still think that the sinhalese will persecute them, and quite a few are still banging on about taking the fight for eelam international The blueprint DBS has laid out is probably the best path to be taken, lets hope those at the top are not too swollen headed and power drunk to take notice and make it work.... Also, one guy in comments has said that we should work toward a country where people will be judged solely on merit, and where race, religion, creed etc will not even be considered. Heck, If singapore could manage that, i dont see why we cant! There's hope for the future gents, But there is also a very thin line between success and a recurrence of the same bloody mess in a different form..... A LOT rides on the shoulders of every single person....
  10. Many congrats meangreen!! hope you've started introducing him to cars already
  11. oh yeah, was wondering what the response would be... and true to form, our wonderfully capable central bank governor, the learned Nivard Cabraal, has responded with "that decision was biased and arbitrary, and we dont accept it..." http://www.dailymirror.lk/DM_BLOG/Sections...spx?ARTID=49576 apparently he knows better than S&P.... Sigh
  12. Many happy returns of the day machan!! hope you have a great time today and a wonderful year ahead! Cheers!!!
  13. haha... its not the length, more the amount of filling! just had one myself and feeling wayyy stuffed!! as to the where http://www.thesandwichfactory.lk/ The outlets are on GP (section of GP near liberty plaza) and at the odel food court. Btw what about the film?
  14. Having no idea why i didnt notice thread being updated before... i've got to say, Fan-bleedin-tastic pictures there Meangreen.... I truly envy you man! As to the Sandwich, Sandwich factory does both 6 and 12 inch versions.... generally finishing the 12 inch is quite a challenge!
  15. Wolverine is on at liberty... been on since the past weekend i think. You're right opening weekend is gonna be packed... esp the saturday 7 o clock show! MADZ? can we organize a reserve section?
  16. Nope it aint a 912 because the engine is definitely a 1300 VW.... the 912 DID use a 4 pot motor but it was a larger and more advanced engine that porsche previously used on the late 356 models... It only shared basic design with the bug engine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_912
  17. im good, was just about to post up asking the same question
  18. G.S. Motors is also quite good... they generally have the biggest stocks.
  19. It certainly DOES have presence... btw, this doesnt technically have "cart springs", unless of course carts had Coils!! It does have a live rear axle, but suspended by coils with three links and a panhard rod, so just a couple of steps ahead of a basic cart...
  20. For some reason I cant find the Review i thought i wrote about the 406...... :S Well, here's the beetle one anyway
  21. Such a suggestion was made a year or so ago, at the time, MADZ said to wait for the new forum upgrades if i remember correctly..... in fact, i think i did write a detailed review of this sort, about the 406.... It IS a great idea.... we should probably start doing it.
  22. Guys guys come on now! da_rice_dude DOES have a bit of a point, I guess we MIGHT have taken the mickey out of him a LITTLE bit too much. Of course, that was basically his own fault, but still, the guy has apologized, So if he intends to settle down and behave himself, im sure we can get along with him eh? What say you? Heck look at Ol' Kotte...... HE's almost unrecognizeable now!
  23. damn! I dont even know where to start responding to that! YAAAAWWWN..... you stopped being amusing about 5 posts ago..... and this lovely piece of literature did nothing to improve anybody's attitude towards you So please, do us all a favour and go home son...... Come back when you've grown up a bit.
  24. it could also double up as a table!
  25. Having heard about this business with the totalled cedia, not to mention your 20(!) accidents, I retract my previous statement about buying any Evo!! PLEASE do go and buy an EG8, fit the biggest bodykit you can find (D_U_M_I_N_D_A will suit you best), along with lambo doors, and perhaps a 200KG sound system... When you're done with all that, dont forget to post pictured up here please, so all of us can keep an eye out for you and run in the opposite direction if we see you on the road!
