I guess you're right..... i've seen a few drags (never competed tho), and they were always done in a very professional manner, but i guess the point is you never can be 100% safe can you? thats just how it is...

machan, without wishing to sound offensive or anything, IMO any form of racing on the streets can be dangerous..... thats just the way the world is..... esp in SL..... but as Pila said, OT...... deepest sympathies to the families of those concerned. one of the victims was a colleague of one of my close pals....

Guys I was wondering, since some of the most regular inquiries on the forum come from ppl who want to buy a certain model of car, how about we create a dedicated thread for various models of car in the relavant section and keep it pinned? owners can do a sum up of the car for the benefit of the others.... like driving impressions, pricing, maintanence etc, sort of like a mini review....... for example, I could put up a 406 thread, D_z perhaps on the Z and so on.... so what do you think?

the ECU (engine control unit)... and yes machan it is normal on most newer cars to have a safe mode (also called a "get home mode"), that prevents overt stress on the engine in the event of a problem. but im not sure whether it will sort itself out though.... you might have to get it reset or something.... better check. it all depends on pricing...... if it undercuts that segment by a good enough margin, and has decent quality, it will succeed..... look at the Chrysler 300C for further proof of this.....

Im guessing it'll land smack in the same category as Cefiros and Accords for pricing (7-9 Million)... although the engine is big, this being an aussie car its probably tuned for longevity rather than power so I'm guessing around 200-220 BHP perhaps? the question is whether the car will be "special" enough to be competitive in that segment.....

Hmmm, I dont think you'll be able to lay your hands on a good Prado for 4-5 Mill machan..... the Old LJ/KZJ Series (Box Shaped) Landcruiser II's are now selling for Mid 4's..... so i'm guessin a prado would be at least 5.5 -6 Mill.

IMO, this car never really worked fo me..... I just cant warm to the looks, "Il Monstro" was a VERY apt description...... and the interior parts were lifted straight from the Alfa 75 Saloon.
