Agree with you on episode one, it was truly good... Personally speaking I thought 2 and 3 were also ok, they seemed a hell of a lot less forced and over the top than the previous season... As for the 4th, duuude it had me in stitches all throughout! Ranks up there as one of the funniest they've done yet IMO

Most people fill their tank when the Fuel gauge shows empty. In most cars, empty is indicated when there are about 8-10 liters left in the tank to leave a margin. So although the capacity is 60L, 50 is probably the actual amount of petrol that is used/subsequently pumped.

Not unlikely machan, the carina is a heavy car and the 1.5 may have a tough time hauling it around. Case in point: the 406 D9, the 2.0L models on average do about 9 KM/l in town with the manual box. We had a 1.8 Manual (kept well tuned) and the best that ever did in town was 7.4!

In all fairness machan, the 504 is a much better option as a first car lol. But I generally tell people that if they are looking at a peugeot, they have to have at least some small degree of mechanical knowledge/inclination as well as an ability to not get annoyed when a sudden random issue happens. Its because of all the bargain hunters who buy cheaper euros and then skimp on fixing them that there are so many hacked examples of passats, A4s 406's and the like around. It ends up giving all the cars a bad rep.

Can i just add here that as a first car the peugeot 307 is probably NOT the best choice that one can make, especially an 8 year old one! In addition to the issues that harshan mentioned, The car is prone to random failures of electrics (windows, mirrors etc) and also the suspension isn't as robust and well suited to SL roads as that of older peugeots (like the 406 for example). I knw this because a friend of the family bought a 2005 (or was it 2006) model brand new and had a fair amount of trouble from it. That was their first peugeot and needless to say they wont be buying another! For 1.6 million you will be definitely able to get a good 406, if you get one in good shape it will be a MUCH nicer car! I feel I must add again though as your first car, if your major priorities are hassle free transportation from A to B and as little maintainence requirement as possible, then a Peugeot is definitely not the best choice.

I apologize if opening a whole thread seems excessive, but the Big bentley four door saloon is my favourite breed of car in the world, so a new one is always an event! Your sprinter is a JDM version right? in which case it probably was optimized for higher octane fuel

hehe... is that even a question? perhaps the chinese buy was because certain people with silver spoons up their nether regions figured that it would be easier to take off fanbelts and rewire distributor caps to drive through floods to provide oil cooling etc. I mean jap engines dont really take very well to Tim Taylor Technology, maybe the chinese motors are more receptive?

Yeah, seriously considering doing that now.... Mopar parts really aren't that expensive (they are made by the million after all..), Its the getting down process that tacks on cost, and once you figure in the D*MO margin... heh heh.

The wrangler was sold here as part of the jeep lineup, but because it isnt all that practical there weren't a lot of takers but there are about 5 to 10 late models running about. D*MO does maintain the wranglers so i assume they have quick access to parts though transit times will apply. Unfortunately there is no other importer for Jeep parts that I know of, Been looking for one myself as Dimos prices are rather extortionate. Changed the rear brake pads on the GC last week and it set me back 22 grand!

They do when you consider that the figures that are given for JDM cars are generally quoted for japanese petrol, which is higher octane than that found in europe (and elsewhere).

The Viva elite is an entirely different car to the Kelisa and the kenari. It' basically a current model daihatsu charade with a lot of japanese parts. Everyone who ha gotten one is VERY happy with it. Drove one myself recently and was very impressed by the build quality and general finish of the car as well as its road manners. Its priced pretty keenly too, so it should be a great success. Don't automatically assume that just because a car is not japanese it is an inferior product.
