  3. Yep, tis a W111 220SE
  4. Nope... Right class of car though.
  5. Close, but not the right model. Im looking for specifics with this one.
  6. VVti and CP were having an argument on a different subject, that post was just a dig at CP in the course of that argument P.S. Just because a lot of people do it, doesnt mean its the right thing to do.
  7. And resurrecting this one as well.
  8. Okay gentlemen, Trivia Time again..
  9. OT Harshan, sent you a PM on an unrelated topic... appreciate your input on it. Thanks
  10. A Walk/drive down the delkanda stretch should provide what you need. Plenty of body parts places there.
  11. Probably is possible, although i think you will have to change the lights and possibly the bonnet as well. Cost will be whatever the parts cost plus the labor charge, obviously. The FB15 isnt exactly a rare car, so a quick visit to delkanda parts places should get you an estimate of how much the individual bits cost.
  12. Well we wouldnt be able to answer that with any degree of accuracy unless we have tried out various contenders individually now would we? Thats why its always best for the prospective buyer to check out all the alternatives (Do some research online, take a test drive, etc) and also consider the all important maintenance and spare parts aspect. As seen recently by a forum member's experience with a Chery, cheap chinese cars which have no spare parts backup outside of the agents can end up becoming a fairly large financial burden after a couple of years.
  13. Service your car, change all the oils and filters, check your tire pressures and make sure your engine is well tuned. Do all of that and check your fuel consumption. FYI, all of the above should be treated as routine stuff to do when you buy a used car, its just common sense. The previous owner will tell you whatever they need to tell you in order to get the car sold.
  14. With regard to all the points mentioned under 2 and 3 http://www.fuelsaving.info/ It would be worth your time to go and spend some time reading the articles on that site (thanks Az for the link). It explains in detail how all the different "fuel Saver" technologies claim to work, and why they scientifically cannot do so. The author is an automotive engineer with a fair bit of experience. The site is a very good read although there is a LOT of info. Certainly worth the time investment. Id suggest that Mr Wijesinghe reads it as well, but apparently its "useless know how" so thats arite.
  15. Vehicle: Nissan Caravan Engine: QD32 4 Cylinder Diesel YOM: 2000/2001 (not too sure) Other: Dual Air con, 4WD Consumption: City 7 KM/L, outstation 8.5-9Km/l
  16. OT Sounded fishy to me too but i figured he must be based abroad or summin. On a side note, all Nissan GTR's are 2008 Models since they were introduced in December 2007 in japan and 2008 everywhere else. Additionally, the SpecV model only came out in '09. So yeah... BS alert!
  17. Sir, When you point a finger, dont forget that four are pointing back at you (Particularly apt in this case) Sincerely S_N
  18. Good point. The link samishka posted provides a pretty good overall picture. It clearly states that the car seems a much better bet than a Chery QQ. It seems like essentially the same vehicle as the micro trend so i guess the same points apply. Reliability and long term durability Vs a used Nissan, Honda, Mazda or toyota etc is probably not going to be as great. Also, just like David Peiris with the QQ, Micro will probably have the stranglehold on the parts market, so buyers may have no other choice than the agents for spares. Taking the lot into consideration, A used japanese car is a much better option, or if the whole "New Car" thing is that important, perhaps one of the indians, since they at least have proven themselves by now and also have a decent parts network.
  19. Sir,
  20. Sir, Once again you have deviated from the point, are you impaired in someway?
  21. You aren't likely to get a clear answer to that dude... In the parellel universe where the gent who made that comment lives, nissans are apparently the MOST UNRELIABLE CARS IN THE WORLD!!
  22. Ah welcome back, its been Quite awhile hasn't it? we've actually missed the entertainment provided!
  23. Sir, Now According to you VVTi is using a fuel saver. However, according to VVTi, he does not and was merely telling uditha to fix one and see. Therefore, here seems to be a case of your misreading the post and jumping in as you always do. Please curtail this habit, or at least develop a habit of reading and comprehending posts before replying. Supra_Natural
  24. Seriously Pil? One hour before and you're online?
  25. your brakes appear to be binding, could be any one of a number if issues from faulty ABS to stuck pistons in the calipers. Get it checked out at a good garage without delay.
