  7. still the ads on autolanka quote same old prices! would there b a vehicle shortage in the market, since ppl would be reluctant to sell there vehicles? or would ppl be quating the same old prices? time would tell!
  8. i had d same problem when i was selling my car. when i went to see another car in a sale, the owner asked whethr i was selling my old car..he asked wt was the price i expected..i said 16 lacks(mazda 323,2002model)..he said..oh no, its wrth only arnd 12 lacks..im getting one next week to the car -sale.. i then said..ok,i have a frnd, hes looking fr a cheap mazda 323,i will send him..so he can get the car from u fr atleast 13 laks, since u r getting it fr 12 lacks.. then the car sale owner was lost fr wrds..haha i eventually sold d car fr 16.25..in the same sale the week later i saw a similar car..same in evry way.. he's quoting 18.75..not a cent less.. never sell ur car to a car sale owner..moral of the story..haha

i have been driving manuals.. and all 1300cc vehicles todate..for the last 6 yrs.. so i hopefully have gone thru the learning curve.. however, i really find manual transmission vehicles give me the driving pleasure..but i guess for a person who wants the ease in driving, auto transmission wud b better.. the fuel economy of my neighebours car..1300cc manual is 9-10km per litre in colombo..and 11-12 outside..i think its fair enuf.. ya anyway, i think the take home message is ,never ever go for a 1300cc auto transmission! if going for a 1300cc, you are much beter off with a manual!

i did some research on this.. the 1300cc has relativley good pulling power.. some frinds in Kandy told that that they very wel negotiate the hills even with 5 ppl.. im talking abt general use.. so, i believe there isnt much of difference..in 1300cc and 1500cc..in DAY TODAY LIFE.. however, the 1500cc is abt RS 75,000 more than the 1300cc in 1300cc, manual has bettr pulling power than auto tho.. what do u guys think?open for discussion..
  24. dear guys, i did not go for a SUV.. After so much of thinking about pros and cons..i finally decided to go for a car..thinking of resale value too..
  25. well, suzuki liana has a low resale value.. check on that.. try to get a 2001 mazda familia/323 even..u should b able to get a good 1.3 one fr 16..im talkin about the new face version..where the badge is iarge like in mazda 3..no problems in pulling power at all.. 1.5 auto u can get abt for 17..
