not really the maintenance cost! but of course the ease of maintenance

i never consider fuel efficiency as a prority.. as long as it gives me few years of trouble free running doesnt matter even if the things go wrong as long as you could rectify it with less hassle. for example say the 5A FE of a carina ti gives any trouble (hardly there will be any) i know for a fact that it doesnt cost much and spares are ample.

dear friends, need some inputs from all you guys on 4A-GE found in carina GT. (1998-2001) how is the reliability of this motor? i assume the long standing toyota reliability is there too.. can we find spares for this engine without a hassle? (recon , brandnew) any common issues associated with it? is this an engine that any decent garage can handle? and any other noteworthy info you all can share on this engine thanks in advance

possible candidates are toyota levin,Cynos , honda del sol (lucky if you find a one!) or a rx 7.

delkanda would be the best bet. i dont think you can find it in else where. these items are very rare now adays.

yes friend. and my manual vi with english plates rear crystal was manufactured in 1998. that was imported from uk in 2003 for a blue permit.and the book says 1998! i know a lot of people think it was given a face lift.

dude,know the facts before you comment. virs started from late 1998.

then they are not mechanics. no one can guarantee the outcome but they should try it if you are willing to accept whatever the outcome.
