  1. ST HitAd .. sorry I've been offline for a while. As per Crosswind, the new Hyundais are from India.
  2. So that's 5k driven illegally? That's gotta push these consumption figures up!!!
  3. I'm not too sure abt the volume as I'm yet to change mine. But I think 4-5 liters for change and 8 for flush????
  4. Oil is M-V (Em Five), it's marked on the ATF dipstick. An ATF change for the 3/Axela would set u back about 16k. ATF is available from the Agents and also from Mazna motors.

Ha ha .. yeah, do check that enormous boot to see if you got the standard 'python'. You need it for the initiation ritual!
  6. I've seen several new (i.e. newly imported) cars having trouble starting - ignition taking 2 secs or more etc. Must be due to the effect of Petrol. As per our beloved opposition, the Pet Co is releasing this bad stock mixed with good - so basically YMMV but you all will get an improper mix of Petrol no matter what. What a state of affairs!!!
  7. True dat!
  8. Darn .. didn't know that. Scrap that idea!
  9. Allion == All in One = Best of Nothing!
  10. Even for LFA they wouldn't mention Toyota. It'll always be Lexus LFA. Because Super and Toyota just wouldn't go together! Lovely car by the way - why wouldn't all cars at least hv HUD's like LFA's?
  11. Wow .. what a reception for Axela! Blows the competition away .. or so it seems .. Anyhow, saw in last week's papers that Hyundai Accent 2011 is 2.8+Vat and Elantra 2011 is 3.3+Vat from the agents. Might be a good option for some of you looking for a BN vehicle (along with slightly more expensive Fords from the new agents).
  12. Will we need to maintain a GPS map of traffic cams - like they do in UK, until they get savvy and start moving them around?
  13. 85kph for 3 to 4 shift? Damn! Think that's a tad too high and it should be around 60 at the worst.
  14. Those shades are only supposed to be on when the vehicle is parked.
  15. If the weather was fine and the paint and the job was good there shouldn't be any valid reason to wait 4 weeks! I've never had a full paint job in any of my vehicles and always the painters (Autoforce, Arabian) did the final finishing within 2 weeks at the most.
  16. Well, looks like you put a lot of effort in to that! But there are some like me who don't give a flying dunk on what our cars does - as long as they burn the fuel the way they are supposed to! Nor should we hug the trees too tightly as we are no where near the per capita carbon footprint of the developed world, whatever we collectively save for an year - a nation like USA will pollute back in a day!! So - as long as you're content with what fuel consumption you've got, that's all there is to it IMHO! By selfishly saving on fuel (as some wont to do), you might be compromising on many other things - primarily the driving pleasure for you and space in the road for other road users!!
  17. I think it was really exiting throughout the top half of the field at Nurburgring. A few of 'real' overtaking maneuvers and a load of precision pitstops (to which the last Ferrari stop definitely did not belong to ..). The race showed what happens to Vettle and RBR when forced to compete in traffic - still good, still very fast but not really top-notch. Of course, watching Alonso on a R*D B*LL car was really nice too! IF and when do you guys think RBR will bounce back? Or will it be Hamilton and Alonso here onwards?
  18. Of course Very close pal at school - of course haven't seen him for years as the bugger is now in sunny California with Google.
  19. OT: Do insurers share data about clients and associated risks? My line of thinking is that if you're a routine claimer, prone to accidents (yours or others fault), your risk status will be upgraded and consequently your premium would go up. But if you go insurer hopping, it seems that the new guy either does not know or ignore the past performance of the insured or just give a lesser premium in view of luring new business. Then again you're insuring a vehicle and not a particular (bad or good) driver - so I'm assuming a 1 to 1 map of car to driver. How does it work? On Aviva - I've been with them 2 1/2 years with 2 vehicles, they always paid up 100% and extremely punctually (2 claims, both not due to my fault) and transferred premiums between my old and new cars without any fuss or reductions. However they hv generally increased their premiums since start of this year and obviously your NCP goes even for a little claim. Just looking to see if insurer hopping would reduce premiums and some suggest.
