I don't know if you're about the 2nd hand market - as I'm yet to see any 2001/2 K11's getting offered less than 1.2 million, in advertisements. My friend bought a K11 (2001 Auto 1000cc) in 2010 for 1.23M and sold it last month for 1.295M. Demand is still there even with the influx of brand new run-abouts.

Yeah .. you get tired just trying to overtake long vehicles and/or remotely fast moving cars - if it's an auto you'd need to kick and stand on the gas pedal Anyways, I wouldn't say it's a really bad car - you CAN nip around in the traffic (like a 3 wheeler!! ) and park in the most impossible spots. Repairs are relatively easy to go by as well. But generally not worth the trouble if you're bothered with fuel consumption etc. A good car for a non-concerned lady though.

BTW, Semi final and final tickets will be on sale from tomorrow afternoon on the official site. (that includes the March 29th match hakjay inquired about) If Sri Lanka gets in to the semi's, which whom do you guys think it'll be? If it's India - tough luck, the match will shift there .. right?

Hmmmm ... ever heard that F1 is banning the use of DSLR's or even RWC? I think not. Obviously you can't waste your police time determining whether a camera carries a lens capable enough to take 'professional' level photographs of an event, so the dumbass way is to ban everything larger than a credit card. But my point is that there were enough and more DSLR's at Shere Bangala yesterday - it's our IGP that is being a numbskull, as I see it. I've been to many Sri Lanka matches with my 'professional' camera to shoot the pics I like and this is the first time I'm hearing this bull. They clearly don't want us to enjoy the matches on our terms!

8 lanes? What is 8 lanes? Even if he meant 8 cars wide - that's pretty wide and most of the F1 tracks aint that wide for most part. And if we built one - don't think Bernie's gonna come running. Will we be using it for GT racing or karts? Hmmmm ....

I also cannot understand why people shun Mazda's so much .... Then again, fuel consumption and maintenance cost are not factors to me and my setup, but for newer cars they are not so much factors for anyone! For me, registered Axela, ES8 or an Imprezza (at a slightly lower cost) are the best options in this price range. Unregistered - Demio or even the new Mazda 2 sedan (effectively a Demio with a butt) are good options.

Hmmm .. interesting. Hope they do the whole thing above board and give due publicity to the penalty process. Should bring some discipline about 'if' properly done - even among those of us - who give in to indiscretion once in a while due to frustration!!

Damn ... I just saw an "almost new" 1992 toyota marino in an AL ad ... I must be living in a time warp when we are prepared to dish out 1.5 mill for 20 year old cars!! If I'm prepared to blow 1.2 mill, I might scratch up a little bit more and go for at least a Proton Gen 2, rather than old toyota's. But that's just me - most of the SL is blinded by the apparent better fuel consumption of boring old Toyota's and nothing else!! LOL (nothing boring about Marino -- except that it's only so much younger than the T-rex!)

Wonderful to read all the comments and hats of to VVTI! God knows, we need better disciplined and mannered drivers - not better drivers, necessarily - but more courteous and pleasent divers. It's hard to keep your head ( ..or cool), when all about you are losing theirs! But we gotta try!

It never occurred to me that steering lock is an effective way to prevent car theft. Now that you said, it's absolutely clear! I feel silly, being aware of the option for years but never really understanding what it was for .. never really bothered to ask anyone, really! Question is how many of us USE it for that purpose! LOL
