  1. Thanks a lot MV-5. Your video clip was very useful. I followed through it carefully several times. Regarding the AC bearing, my technician has replaced it while replacing the Compressor. Actually, it's the "AC clutch" which I have mentioned above as the "Side Plate" (I learnt it by the video clip ). It rotates randomly when the AC is switched off. Only then, the sound occurs. When I asked abt the AC bearing fact from the technician, he disagreed cos he has replaced it. He's pointing out this happens because of the condenser failure. According to his idea, as the condenser is not cooling down the decompressed air properly, it has affected to the AC clutch. (also he told that the bottom part of the Condenser is heated ) As Don mentioned above, condenser may not be occurring the sound, but it's failure may causes the sound in AC clutch. (Am I correct? If not, please advice) And finally his suggestion is to replace the condenser. I still trust on him as he's a genuine character and his place is one of the best place in Kandy. Do you guys have any comments please................??
  2. Thanks mate. Highly appreciate your advice. I'll check it soon.
  3. Hi Mahesh, That's the place I have already visited. I think he's genuinely doing the job. Repair wk is going on these days. He did some remedial works but not succeeded yet. I hope he'll solve the problem. Thanks mate.
  4. Thanks a lot MV-5 for your immediate response. I'll try it and let you know. And finally I forgot to mention, my technician suggested to replace the condenser since the problem might be due to the condenser. Because of I have no idea abt this subject, I have to agree with him. May I know, with this problem, is there any connection with the condenser?
  5. Hi guys, I got frustrated on reparing the AC compressor again and again in my Allion 240 (2002 model) car. The initial problem was a " trrrrrrr" sound coming from the AC compressor. My AC technician instructed me that the Compressor has worn out, therefore I had to replace it. So I replaced it with a reconditioned AC compressor. But now the problem is the side plate attached to the pully is rotating with a bad sound when the AC is turned off. Technician fixed it several times and faced the plate surface from a lathe also. And he increased the gap between the belt and the plate. But the problem exists. Is there any errors in the condensor? could any one please advise me.
  6. Thanks bro abt your concern. Very useful discussion with u all. Experts and Allion users, please share your knowledge cos I'm having a lack of ideas abt such these mechanical issues.
  7. No maintenance at all...???? Nice to hear that....!!! I think its a plus point for Allion owners. However as terrabytetango said, periodical inspection for stretching and damaged links may be required for long use. is that so...??
  8. Thanks dude. Highly appreciated your advice........!!
  9. Yeh...learning something new everyday is very interesting......!!! @ terrabytetango : Can we do only a "Timing chain check" while doing a service? cos I heard that, checking the timing chain is not so easy work.
  10. @ Osanda: You are correct in timing chain fact....!!!! I'll check the alternator belt as you said.
  11. @ Supra_Natural, Mahesh & SpeedyAsA: Actually I learnt something important because of you guys...!! There's no Timing belt in Allion. There's a "Timing chain". I called to G.S. Auto (as Supra-Natural given), and they told that there's no timing belt there in Allion. Timing chain + Racers+ etc.. cost is 30,000/= And important fact is, no need to change Timing chain periodically (I mean in every 100,000kms). If there's any sound or any defect occured only, need to pay attention. According to Kundasale Auto's instructions, While doing a service, timing chain can be checked. Thank you again guys...............!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Thank you very much Mahesh....!!! You guys are really awesome. I'll contact them now and let you know.
  13. @ Supra_Natural: You are awesom. Thank you for your rapid feed back. I'll call them now. If you dont mind, could you pls. let me know abt. any shops in Kandy to purchase it?
  14. Hi guys, I recently purchased an Allion 240 model. Milage is almost 100,000Km(99000+). Could please anyone advice me on followings. 1. what's the Milage range to change T belt?(I heard it as in every 100,000kms) 2. Do i need to purchase it from Toyota company or is it available in sparepart market? 3. How much will it cost (T belt+ Racers+ labour)? Your advice is highly appreciated.
  15. Thanks dude. Got the only advice after 7 days . But I moved towards an Allion a couple of days before. I heard that the reselling value of Vios becoming lower day by day because of Vios manufactured in China or Thailand. Anyway, thanks again for your advice.

    Nisan Tida

@ Magnum: Nissan Tida was in my mind, when I started the thread because it's prize matches to my budjet. I considered abt 121, Vios, Axela also. But finally I moved towards Allion 240, cos it fulfilled my requirements.

Thank you pericles and other guys commented above. I agree with pericles on fuel consumption mainly depends on how you drive. But comparing the prize of Luxel and 1.5cc types, Luxel goes lower. Anyway, can you guys share any details and advices on ALLION 240 model????

Thanks guys for the quick responses. As Carbuddy mentioned above, I heard that Luxel does not doing good on fuel. Anyway, I finally got a decission and selected an Allion 240 model and purchased it yesterday. It was a little bit higher side to my budjet, but interior condition and the extra options compared to 121, satisfied me very much. I know it does little bit low petrol compared to 121, but i think its negligible. Any advice about 240 model.....???
  19. Hi guys, Can anyone share details with me who's using a Toyota VIOS new model car (belta shape)? Followings are the important facts, I'd like to know. 1. Prize range of the car of 2007/2008 YOM 2. Fuel consumption 3. Possible mechanical issues while using 4. Reselling market. I'd be expecting your genuine facts.

very important facts dude.. i went through the post u had sent me. as Hoonigan stated, I know hatchback model is good 'cos earlier I used a chevy cruze. I think this time the best vehical for me is 121. Comparing the reselling value, I think 121 with following featuers has a good demand. G grade or X grade (compared with XLI & LX models) 1500cc engine capacity ( compared with 1300cc & 1700cc) Auto transmission please let me know whether am I correct or not. Thank you so much guys for your awesome rapid feedback.

@ sachinwick: Thank you very much for your rapid feed back. your advices are very important to me cos i had an experience on a chevy cruze only. You have missed the corolla 121 in my list. any idea about it?? (specially auto, 1.5cc , G grade 121)
  22. My recomendation is Chevrolet cruze, 'cos I used one for about three years. It's a pretty reliable hatchback model. It suits to your budjet also (2004 model around 2.0 - 2.2M) and parts match with swifts parts and the engine is 1.3CC. I dont have experience with other models.

Hi Sachinwick, Thank you for your valuble instructions. I accidentaly mentioned it as 25M-30M (should be 2.5M-3.1M). Anyway, what is your recomendation as an expert? 121,Vios, Axela or Tida (considering the fuel consumption, 2nd market value & comfatability)?? I'm just gathering informations.
  24. I have sold my vehical and serching for an used vehical to purchase around 25M - 31M. I have no idea about the performance, and the fuel consumption of Nisan TIDA car. Could anyone genuinely give me details and instructions about it?
