  1. This blog is written by an owner. He was initially impressed by the Panda but he says later that fuel consumption is 8-9km/l. So, there's no reason to doubt this. Clearly it's overpowered. http://microcarslk.blogspot.com/2011/03/alto-k10-vs-micro-panda-geely-lc-13.html Hope this helps.
  2. Thanks...!
  3. From previous discussion threads here, experts claimed that cruze is clearly superior in fuel consumption.
  4. Travel through Prince of Wells avenue. Ask from all the shops....
  5. Machan, what options are missing? That may affect the resale value..
  6. Avoid like plague...
  7. What about Mahindra Alfa?
  8. Thanks for all the comments!
  9. I recently saw a Toyota Hilux (Full option) single cab 'converted' to a double cab. From what I can say, they have done a superb job. It's almost like a smart cab with two doors. Back-seats are very comfortable. The roof is a bit strange but can be fixed. Is this more economical than buying a smart cab (not a double cab)? I think it takes about 600000 for the job. Is this legal? (considering that Police Tata Single cabs are 'converted' to 10 seaters!) Do you need a dual purpose registration for this? (are there ones without this registration?)
  10. This is an actual user... He says fuel consumption is 8km/L... Link Read and decide...
  11. I've heard that there are places where car batteries are sold without warranty for cheap. They may be third party importers. Does anyone know such a place?
  12. Thank you very much!
  13. Hi, I’m new to automobile world. I’m planning the first service of my car (FB15, 2001). I’ve selected A#to Miraj service station. Changing engine oil and filter is due. Please help me with these questions. 1. Can you reduce the cost by buying engine oil and filter from somewhere else? 2. If so, where should I look? Thanks in advance.
  14. People just don't like to think that the majority of what they pay goes to the government rather than the vehicle. When Sri Lankans bought a s#itload of hybrids (before tax increase) they knew that most of what they had to spend was for the car and not for the government. That's why the deal was worth it. This factor cannot be 'calculated' in a formula. However, it is still more economical to drive a diesel vehicle than hybrid.
  15. I have read a thread here claiming that fuel additives like SOLT#ONE do not actually work. But I know people who swear that their black smoke problems were solved by SOLT#ONE. There is a clear improvement in both unburnt HC level and CO level in emission testing. Please give expert opinions.
