He did a good job and he knows what is he doing. problem was with a leaky cooler and also valve. replace the valve and he did some trick to stop the leak. I haven't got more bugs to replace the cooler at this time. now it is fine. lets see how long it will hold over. Thanks

Thanks all for the prompt reply. @matroska Actually I cannot remember when I replaced the break fluid. Need to check. I only checked the fluid level. @iRage I think there was heavy breaking. It happened because heavy traffic and also I was bit hurry to go. So I need to check the breaking system. As the first step I will replace the break fluid. Any recommendations?

Hi All, Yesterday, On the way to Kandy from colombo I faced a strange issue that when I break, pedal went all the way to floor and felt like no breaks at all. it happened for few miniute time and back to normal. ( during passing the Kegale town ), after that I went small trips and didn't face that issue again. So I need to go back colombo again and it was bit scary . Can you all guys help me to troubleshoot the issue. thanks.

Hi, if you want to read a DTC code. You can loop that two pin connector and turn the ignition switch to (11) position. you can get the code by checking the blinking pattern of MIL. google it. you can find the how to do it.

Hi, It is a 3pin connector in the passenger side kick panel in my 2000 ek3. is it bit above the panel. you can see it. plug in to a green color rubber housing. check the picture.

Yes. I checked with them about the possibility to shave from both sides. but it may cause a improper sealing with the radiator core.

They have checked their all branches including head office and also outside shops. but they couldn't find. issue is they have exactly the same one but it is about 2mm longer than one I have. thanks

Last saturday i showed car to radiator house piliyandala. the problem was with the upper tank leak near the hose. so they tried to replace the upper tank. but the sad story was after removing the upper tank and try to fix the new tank there was a 2mm lenght different. so they tried to find a tank from other shops also. but no luck. so finally I asked them to repair the old one. they used some kind of a glue to fix it. I know it is a temporary solution. they also suggested to make a tank using brass (piththala). But I have no idea about that. is it okay to do the top tank using brass? Thanks.

Hi All, I noticed that there was a coolant level drop in extra tank and there are marks of coolant flow in the top of the radiator. I searched previous topics also and got some information. But still want to know some more info. My car is Ek3 2000 auto. please see the picture below, Do I need to replace the radiator? Can i use Radiator sealant to top the leak? recommended place to do the repair work. Is their any place near piliyandala area? Thank you in advance.

Cold start is okay ( in the morning ). after the normal start it drives smoothly. but when the issue happens ignition sound comes and the car is not smooth. IAC and MAP sensor changed along with the TB.

Yes. checked the petrol pump and all okay. fuel pressure also okay. changed fuel filter a month ago. it is a multimatic. ( CVT) Thanks

Hi guys, I'm posting this onbehalf of my friend because He is totally wrecked with the engine trouble he has in EK3 Vi 1996. Here is the Issue, It started with a delay in starting and when engine gets started the RPM ran up to 2000 even when the engine is in working temp. When he start moving under this condition ignition noise came in. Now the car won’t start unless he keep on starting for 2-3 times. he has done following thing but the problem is still there. Changed the throttle body (in intention of changing the IACV) Changed the Petrol filter and cleaned injectors (Helped to keep him away from the issue for about 3 weeks) Changed the Ignition coil Changed plugs Please help him to overcome this unidentified issue… Thanks
