ppl talk about an issue with the dashboard. not sure though. But mostly its about the market here IMO.

Mostly These fuel types define their anti knock qualities. Usually the engine knock is caused by fuel molecules breaking apart and detonating before the spark plug ignites the air fuel mixture (self ignition). The engine will be damaged if it is allowed to continue. Designing an engine to reduce knock tends to reduce its efficiency and power output(low compression ratio). Using a fuel with good anti-knock properties allows designers to deliver more power and efficiency out of the engine by increasing a high compression ratio. So theres no point using fuel with a higher octane rating than the engine was designed for. So long as the fuel doesnt cause engine knock, its good enough. Some cars are optimised for higher octane fuel, but can run on lower octane fuel by electronically detecting knock and delaying the spark timing, at the expense of power output and economy. And some cars can run on either 95 or 90 octane petrol. Turbocharged engines are recommended to be used high octane fuel then the turbo can increase its boost pressure.

People have to learn at least now onwards to wear seat belts. And da purpose behind buying a S-class in other countries is da SAFETY factor. Sad they didnt get da benefits of it. May they rest in peace. :\ they were crazy bt very kind hearted friends.

well well. as a general answer i still say 95 octane petrol gives a serious efficiency.. fueling 95 octane to old cars are a waste. bt for new cars agents recommend 95. honda agents are seriously telling it. bt ma friends CRVs also switched to 90 octane. lol and ya i know how engine works and abt da compression ratio. higher compression ratio engines need higher octane becoz lower octane fuel cause autoignition and engine starts knocking. i think i answered now bit clearly. (this is ma first post lol.) btw u can use 90 octane for da vitz. its nt a prob.

For new cars 95 octane s better. 100 octane is more better. if u put 90 octane fuel, da engine knock develops. dats y u get less km per liter. 90 octane fuel can auto ignite before da spark plugs deliver de electric spark. if it happens, before da piston reach da TDC da air fuel mixture burns and da piston tries to go backwards. its an energy loss. bt old cars are designed for 90 octane ones. so i think its no point of putting 95 octane for an old car. even new cars also having complicated computerized fuel injection systems so it can barley survive by phasing valve timing and fuel injection to reduce engine knock. but cant STOP it. so again 95 is better for da new cars.

mm yeah da way we drive really matters to this subject. im nt an aggressive driver. and nt an idiot to release all da horses to da wheels. bt i rarely do it. hehe. bt mostly im nt even revving it more than 2500 rpm. sure it will do 8+ for me. 13 old car does 7.7? wow. Dont tell its an Nissan A32. hehe it drinks fuel. bt a luxury car. hmm allions still cost like 34 upwards. i think da prices should go down even more. isnt it? well honestly 2 liter cars are rubbish to these colombo traffic. bt i still believe when going outta colombo, big engines will do their justice. and thanks for de advices.

hmmm. dat also very impressive isnt it? its a 2 liter 6 cylinder engine. ya i can so happy with dat figures. and how much will it cost? definitely less than an Allion. coz v had an offer for this model last December for 2.8 mil. after slashing taxes i think it will get down even further. and camry is nt a good looking car to me. :S I really like to use an audi bt repair costs are such a pain. thanks

Is it worth to buy an E34 car? I saw some E34s hitting somewhere in colombo. All i have to say is E34 is a pretty girl <3. Hw much will cost to buy a properly maintained E34? with VANOS system in it? Usually im nt a daily basis vehicle user. thanks in advance

I was thinking of buying a mark II (2000 model aka X110 series) vehicle. wanna know abt its durability and stuff. wat will be da price? it has vvti so i think it will do something around 10km per liter. lol. btw i get hyped very rarely. is it a good car to own? its wide and feels bit luxurious. thankx in advance.
