  1. Yes They're all very similar right? The US Corolla, Corolla Altis and the Euro version? Only difference seems to be with the Axio
  2. Ok
  3. No, there's no brand new Axio here. I said 12km/l for that car, which comes second hand as it's JDM only. The brand new car we have here is just Corolla 141, and that does around 8km/l, yes. The difference may arise due to CVT of an Axio, which isn't there in the B/N car and the different engine designed for US
  4. The Axio, Allion, Civic, Prius etc. do have cruise control and sometimes also radar guided cruise control as options. But people don't seem to bring them down as they're usually available only for the higher trims, like Prius G, and add more to CIF
  5. Btw guys, what exactly is the case if someone decides to do an engine swap with a Prius after an accident or something? If the battery gets punctured or so? It does come at quite a low price for a new car but taxes are reduced due to them being hybrid, so as people don't throw away anything here and an engine swap is cheaper than a spare Prius battery, any legal issues if someone converting it to fully petrol powered?

    Corolla Axio

Wish it'd (Axio) just disappear from the face of the Earth itself Never liked the FWD versions, best upto date was the AE86 IMO. And the Prius having outsold Corolla's and broken records is another big bit of bad news...
  7. The Corolla 141 we have here brand new and the Corolla Axio 141 we get second hand from Japan aren't exactly the same thing. Atleast on permit vehicles as not many others have bought brand new vehicles, I've never heard them doing more than 8km/l normally in real life. Most Axio owners claim a lot, but people I know closely say around 12km/l is the average. And on a general note, have noticed that Nissan petrols aren't that good on fuel, supposedly slightly better when with VVL
  8. Ah, I should have known better, the land like no other after all... Another pointless exercise to send some more money out of the country then, I've heard the cards come from Singapore and printed here. Hope all our personal info isn't flowing out to private companies in the process of entering though.
  9. No tax at all? Then it'd be nice to see some Tesla's and hybrid Jags, Mercs and other hot Euro/American vehicles too on our roads than all the boring Prius's
  10. If your main concern is fuel economy, then the Vitz is quite good. Do try to find a 1.3L manual. If not, the Passo seems ok too, and I'm not very sure how but it has larger interior dimensions than the old Vitz. Swift isn't that bad on fuel, and there were quite a few manuals on AL too, gives decent interior space and more ride height. Or as jdnet suggested, the Familia hatch looks nice, but your F/C expectations may not be met.

    Corolla Axio

Not recommended, especially on our puny roads but http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/69757-what-top-speed-you-drive-your-prius.html

    Importing Car

AFAIK, now that it's more than 5 years old, you won't be able to import it here in any legit way. You could have one month ago, so think you'd have to give it up now.. Unless there are shady ways to show it's just less than 5 years
  13. On the contrary, a friend got a Demio/2 and it doesn't do well on fuel even though it's a manual and taken good care of. Good quality and reliability is true, but the car is quite heavy for a small hatch at around 1060kg for M/T and 1080kg for A/T, that's heavier than any EK3 even. Compare to a Swift which is around 880kg for M/T and 910kg for A/T.
  14. Then a Familia, N16 or Lancer would work for you Or as evergreen said, a Swift HT51
  15. Good one!
  16. Yes they do, but do you know how exactly they read off anything in them? Cuz I've not seen any readers around here
  17. All second hand cars, either used here in the case of Euro's or unregistered used cars from Japan. For brand new ones, you'll have to check with agents
  18. Correct We had a Presea PR11 borrowed for about a month and it barely did 8km/l

    Importing Car

Depends on when it was first registered, if at the time of leaving the country it's not more than 5 years used, yes you can import it. If not, even a few weeks more wouldn't work afaik. So make sure it was registered atleast at the end of Feb 2006 to be on the safe side, and giving you time to get it exported from there.
  20. Hey Madz, seems dates have been added for even the buy.asp, great work!
  21. That could have easily gone through his chest Lucky to have escaped at that level
  22. Saw it was up for sale or something as is, did anyone buy and attempt to restore? Also saw on the forum somewhere that it's unlikely cuz repair estimate was 7M or something... Lovely car
  23. Well the C class and 3 series aside, Toyota seems to be giving good competition for the Skyline V36 atleast, specs seems ahead. Funny that the Mark X gives slightly more power yet slightly better economy too and yet at a lower price Edit - Have I got the facts wrong or is the 2010 BMW 335i and C350 less powerful than a Mark X, and more expensive while the twin turbo beemer is better on fuel?? Now that's not how it's normally known..
  24. Normally the Presea isn't known for being very economical. But interesting find about the factory claimed F/Cs
  25. Wow! That's real sad, such a good car off the roads... When did this happen? How much was the car those days that no collector even bought it?
