  1. then you are good, just keep the ATF fresh, and your transmission will last a long time. you can do the flushes at home it is always fun for me. if you are mechanically inclined DIY it.
  2. did check the level of your fluid? its kinda hard to put something non compatable because ce110 uses the most universal oil which is Dextron ATF.
  3. 193 on my car 250kmph on my motorcycle 217Kmph with evidence of a helmet camera.
  4. how many miles do you have on your car? i am not a big fan of additives. good quality ATF itself provide excellent amount of lubrication and cooling properties for your transmission. what is the colour of your ATF? if its very dark brown i highly recommend against a flush since it can trigger problems with your tranny. my friend has a camry with 418k KM and the ATF has been flushed regularly without using any chemicals/addictive and it still shifts like brand new. MY recommendations -flush your transmission regularly without using any addictive and chemicals - do not flush if your ATF is dark or smell burnt -use addictive only if you have hard shifting or slipping -cleaning/flush chemicals have very strong cleaning properties but they are not good for seals and cleaning carbon from non-well maintained transmission can trigger problems. -lots of engineering went in to good quality ATF and they provide the best lubrication, cooling, and cleaning properties so why modify it by using additives? i put my car under lot of stress and my cars always last long because i take car of them.
  5. how much do they run if i can find one for sale in sri lanka? i had a VFR v30, loved to death, cant wait to get hold of a VFR400, one of the most unique motorcycles ever made.
  6. @ sumiya you can always hide your bike at your friends house. parents don't need to know. lol, @ aarkangel vfr400 is a good track bike i wish i could buy one. @ Dragster you should pimp your vespa there are lots of things you could do with them. pic is me and my flat black raven r6
  7. i have been in the hospital quite a few times. i have rebuild my R6 from the frame up. few months ago my friend hit a truck. broke both his shoulders, color-bone, fractured hip/back, compressed one of the notches in his spinal cord, and broke one of his leg bones into few pieces. he is gonna be in the wheel chair for few months but after that he will be back on motorcycles.
  8. how do you like the WRF? im trying to get a WRF to keep up with the new supermoto trend.
  9. @ Ripper nice taste i love the styling of the new RSV4 @ LashNEo i hope one day you could experience motorcycles @ masterdon nice collection of classics, my favorite are the Indians. lol convertibles are next closest thing that can come to a motorcycle. but u r right its not comparable. @ chooti putha i rode a cbr 1k few days ago love the top end speed and wheelies. @ skyline biker attitudes makes the best biker gangs. nice to see a R6 brother. my favorite motorcycle of all time. motorcycles give me a boners, i love them, they are my life. i love heavy cruisers, sportbikes and any thing classic. my Dad and my brother loves motorcycles too. currently i have 05 Yamaha R6, my brother has a 06 Ninja 636, and my dad has a Honda VTX1800. we have few more project motorcycles that we are working on. me and my brother building a 04 Ninja 636 for next years race track. i am building a cafe' racer out of a 1974 honda cb550. im currently reside in the U.S and i have plans to move back to SL and i love to bring fathers big honda if possible.
  10. i had my American classic collection that was given it to me by my cousin. i have to dig them out
  11. i am a hardcore motorcycle guy. i believe there is nothing like riding on two wheels enjoying the open road and the beautiful sound from the engine. a car could never replace that feeling, not even a convertible in my opinion. i would love to know what type of motorcycles/scooters you guys own? what type? (standard, trail, racing, etc), if you don't have a motorcycle what kind of motorcycle you love/dream to have? one day i wish we could see Harley's and big metric cruisers in our roads. i hate these crappy 250cc laws!
  12. Americans had their thing going on back in the day. remember when kanathe had Buick's? they handle like shit but they are quiet has hell. not to be mistaken, i believe CTS is in fact designed in Germany. American cars are rising from the dead, koreans are one the rise, today i am all for Japanese luxury brands like Lexus and Acura, they are quieter and more reliable. cant wait to see the competitiveness in few years when japs, koreans, europens, and Americans collide for equal competitive market.

  14. original manufacture comes up with certain viscosity to meet factory specs, meet emission standards, fuel economy etc... but when the engine gets old rings, valves and pretty much every metal part is worn out. only other thing that could cause a such a oil burn is valve stem seals which can be noticeable with a cloud of smoke after morning start ups. thicker oil is always a temporary solution, aka the ideal solution because every time you start burning oil you must be crazy to do an overhaul your engine. the judgment comes with a type of engine, how old is the engine, experience and knowledge of oils/engine. if you are brain dead use 80w or 130w. PS my Chinese scooter (80k kms redline monster) is the living proof of any engine wear/ oils/ solutions.....
  15. you are already running thicker oil i think its the best viscosity right now. you can switch to thick but you risk blowing out seals with the increase in pressure.
  16. if its burning due to a worn out engine the best solution is thicker oil (or a overhaul which cost money). you are true about start-up friction but it used to be problem back in the day when we had single-viscosity oils. now a days we have multi-viscosity oil which almost eliminates start up oil starvation. thicker oil will increase the compression, restores power, reduce engine blow by, and reduce oil consumption in a worn-out engine. you have to let me know actual facts behind "big no no". today oil have minimal zink content its mainly due to catalytic converters on today cars. oil with the highest zink has the best protection against wear. with advancement in oil today have less wear, emissions, higher fuel econ.....etc
  17. if you don't see any leaks its got to be burning. time to switch to ticker oil. you didn't ran empty so you didn't do any serious damage.

    2000 Mazda Tribute

as for now just get all the oils changed, belts, tune up etc... down the line you will know what to change. there are numerous things that can go wrong with that engine. i never owned a tribute but i know lot about it.
  19. Japanese manufactures should plan ahead for the Korean competition. Koreans are doing very well at building cars now. i wish there are Korean scooters in our market.
  20. its very unlikely that anybody survived in this car. i don see a reson to blame the car. Toyota's are very safe cars for the money you pay (when you exclude pedal situations). if you want the safest car you have to pay more. in this world you cant get everything with out compromising something else. there is a reason that i ride a scooter. lol
  21. how the heck do you get parts for this thing in SL? this will be a nice car for southern expressway.
  22. my grand father bought one brand new back in the day. he sold it about 3 years ago. still regret for not buying it. good luck with your project

    Toyota Rav4

when is said any suv out there im talking about in comparison to similar class/size/price range. but have you ever driven a X5? probably not! i had a 2002 4.4l X5. its a heavy SUV and its not as fast as you think. RAV4 is like a car and has a good size engine on it.

according to my research you never can go wrong with a RAV4. best SUV that money can buy. wish they import those V6 version thats sold in US. prettymuch faster than any SUV out there.
