Can't we get a clue from the way the check light blinking, that there is a problem?

After an accident, there are people those who erase or do changes to hide the airbag check light (shorting it with the battery light). By looking at the blinking of the airbag check light only, hope we can identified it is cheated or real. Please share your expertise specially on FB14,FB15, Corolla 110, tercel EL51, 121, etc.

I dont like the Kelisa's look... also dont think it is having a good reselling value.

Alto 2006-2007 and 2008 model - Indian As far as I have heard it does around 12km/l in city and over 16 on long distance travel...market price is between 11.75 - 13.75 I have few questions. -What are the different editions (I have seen LXI, special edition, sports edition)... what are the differences? -How abt the maintenance cost (spare parts/service) -Are there any well known technical issues with this model -Comfort (compared to Maruti) , suspention system -Braking system (I hate the Maruti's braking system.... one of my friends has modifies with the "servo brake"....(I dont know the exact technical word:).... and now it seems ok). As far as I know Alto is also having that system factory fitted. Highly appreciate your replies.

Hi All... I tried everything and nothing worked . Finally I went to a garage and checked with them.. ( It is one of the well known garage in my area) They too tried with few of those chemicals and said that painting the dashboard would be the only solution....seems its like the ink is absorbed little into the surface... Feel its better I keep it as it is......

actually my issue is little more complicated.. this is written on the plastic (you know its not 100% plstic, sort of plastic/rubber, the surface is not that hard). car is a corolla 121.... its like the ink is almost removed, but seems like some amount of ink is like absorbed into the surface.... Anyway I'll try with K'oil and check tomorrow morning.

no.. it is a cd20 newly replaced engine... my mechanic confirmed the engine is in very good condition.It is having a good pulling power compared to the other auto serenas that I came accross. We drove through the highway and aslo went to Kandy with 5 people inside - It did over 12Km per Lt (with AC ), feel the van is quite worth for this price. I really loved the original FX that comes with turbo engine and comfortable suspention system, but it costs at least Rs.18-20 to find a good FX.

Thanks nexus and sorry for the delayed reply. It is a LX, but a little modified one. has all 4 new FX doors, new 2k paint with so called "tin body" . This is a manual one and having most of the options that I expected (AC/PS/PM with rectractable mirrors/center locking with remote key/ pioneer cd player(2011 model) with rear pioneer speakers/ latest alloy wheels with almost bn tyres) Van is in very good condition It cost RS13.90, no is 254-XXXX

There are some numbers and letters written on newly replaced dashboard. may be they have written it using a permanent marker or somethin like that... can someone please suggest a dashboard cleaner to get this mark removed.

It is a LX, replaced with FX doors (so having the fx look). Manual gb.

If the engine is having a slight black smoke after driving for little time ( lets say the test run... 2- 3 Km), does it means the engine is bad?

hi, I'm looking for a Serena. Marked couple of Serena's in the newspaper and goin to see about 5 of them tomo. I dont want to expend much on this, probably less than 13lak, bec this van is not havn a good re-sell value. Im planning to use this for around 2 years. Seems its difficult to go for a Turbo one, since it comes with the FX model. Can someone please provide some basic guidelines to find a good diesel engine ? (I cant take my mechanic to see the each van .... ) , so if the vehicle seems all ok only, I will be taking him

I'm to buy a serena van, and want to verify whether that van is an original diesel van or a converted one. (I think it is 1994 model) Please advise.

Some Serenas are diesel converted. Like the KR42 s are Petrol chasis no, how to find if the vehicle is not original diesel ? I have seen the same petrol van models(same shell) come with the Diesel engnie(cd20)
