Yes previously I had 15" reconditioned not painted alloys which brought from the same place. I didn't had any issues with it. They say that they will replace the whole set of alloys, if there is any defect found in wheel balancing or tire fixing.
-
Sorry mate, I couldn't take a pic, though I took a pic, you want see the actual look of the alloy as it is totally covered of dust. They told me that they can polish it and give it. I chose another normal silver alloy, and then I was seen the chrome alloy, which comes with this center cap http://goo.gl/5csTt. By the way I'm gonna fix it to my ek3.

Checked prices with several places, seems it has gone up. Last Dec I got 195/55/15 GoodYear NCT 5 for 10k. Now 185/65/14 GoodYear is 10500. This year is not a GoodYear.

The person I called told me to bring the chassis number. But once I went there that person wasn't at the counter, The person who was in the counter told that it is not even possible to identify from the chassis number. Anyway I went to Teck motors and bought the once they have. Will see in the weekend.

Hi Guys, After sometime But couldn't do the repair yet, planning to do it in this (long) weekend. I contacted Stafford and tech motors for o ring and oil seal. At Stafford O ring is 200+ and oil seal is 1250. But they said they need the removed oil seal from the car to give the new one as there are two types of oil seal. At Tech motors O ring is just 50 and Oil seal is 500. And they said that they don't need the removed oil seal. However I'm not in position to take the removed oil seal to get the new one. What do guys think (know) about the price different and 2 types of oil seal Stafford mentioned? Many Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. Yes original wheel size is 14". 15" is uncomfortable and it makes a stiff ride. I have to replace bushes time to time. Now several noises coming from rear end.

Hi Guys, I'm thinking to change my current 15Inch alloy wheels to 14Inch to feel more comfort ride. Currently my Ek3 has 195/55/15 tires and planning to change them to 185/65/14. I have 2 issues to sort out before going for the change. 1. What are the things that should consider when buying Chinese used alloys? 2. Will it really feel a comfort ride with the change? Please help me to get a decision change the wheels and tire or not. It will really appreciate all the ideas. Many Thanks.

I pumped 95 OCT yesterday evening from Battaramulla Ceypetco, then drove 25km and drove another 10km after overnight parking. So far no issues. They also saying that no guaranty can be given for 90 OCT as still they get some complains regarding the quality of 90 OCT. And told that no complains for 95 OCT yet. -

One of my friends had filled up with 95 from this gas station yesterday. He said he drove the car about 40-50km so far no issues. But he hasn't started the car after parking yesterday night. -
Hi Guys, Recently I changed break pads, but not I have to push hard the peddle to stop the vehicle and if I press very suddenly, there is a noise like 'dig'. Breaking is not smooths as previously. Then I took the car to another machanic and he told that the break pads are used is not a good brand. They are FBK as I remember. But he told that those are very hard and instead of wearing out break pads, it wears out the disc. and he told me to change it to another brand called MV or MK. Dont remember the name. But still i couldn't do anything. What you guys think?

I checked, all the heat shields are in place and in good condition. It seems nothing wrong with them.
-
hmmm nothing could do for this during weekend rather that showing it to a normal mechanist. He told that as actual oil leak could be the oil seal as I have changed only the o-ring previously. And he also pointed out that there could be a wear in the compartment which fix the o-ring too. He further added if that the case it should be fixed my filling it. He told that some people are not willing to touch the oil seal part too. Any idea about these findings?
-
Finaly I was able to go to a silencer work shop. They checked and told that there is no leak in the silencer and heat shields are also OK nothing is cracked too. And further he added that the inside partitions of silencer barrel has being corroded and breaking up. But there is no change in beat. So I didn't trust him and went to another place. They told that it could be slightly corroded, but the condition is ok to run another 1-2 months. So still there is no solution to the original issue. Any more ideas? Hope that it can't be related to gear box right?
-
Ok please PM me. Many Thanks. By the way what do you think about the issue? Why is it re-happening in a few months after? Any idea or guesses?
-
Nope not him. I have gone there only once. the first impression was not that good. By the way Evergreen, you have told me once a person who is in somewhere Kesbewa. How about him? And I'm also thinking this time to take to stafford. Do you know any person there to talk?
