Thats a stupid price, and its been used in the UK and done 10,000 miles... plus they say that it was with the agents, therefore it may have been on countless test drives and probably be tested off road. and its not a limited edition, its a UK spec with only expensive options that we can't use here in Sri Lanka eg. 295*35*R21 911 turbo wheels, heated seats, lane guidance and so one and] the important thinks like air suspensions, Bi-xenons, aren't even there.. The Brand new one is only 18 or 19 million if you spec it, it will come on to about 22 million...but there is a massive waiting list to get the car...

We got a brand new Tiida from the agent, and tell you the truth it doesn't do more than 8 kmpl, its super slow and suspension are on viagra... but beige interior is great and its spacious inside.. But JDMs may be different. No clue about the Belta, and haven't herd any complaints about it either.

well you are right in your prospective... true I have learnt a lot, but what I said in the first place is that some members here has no respect for others, they think that they are it! its not only about hybrids. I have visited this site many times when it started and it was really interesting to read all the comments, but now things have changed so much that everyone seems to be insulting each other..

My sister drives an Insight, I have driven it in varios ways and only way that I did get over 20 kmpl was by driving it like there was a kid on my roof... I can prove this to you... but like i said it might be a problem in the car, that I don't know off... but those were the figures that I got..

there are questions, Sri Lankan mind set is that the first question they want to know is the fuel consumption... and anything that has got a reputation to do well is regarded as the best vehicle on the market (eg. toyota 121) and people go for . Fuel consumption is not an easy question to answer, I think that the condition of the car, fuel used and more importantly they way you drive it. People say that Honda Insight do 30 kmpl, but last week I drove from brand new like Insight from Colombo to the airport and it only did 14.5 kmpl on normal driving. But I personely do not have any exprience with any other hybrids.

help the fellow out... why is there such hatred against Hybrids... a lot of people in Sri Lanka don't know about hybrids and they are scared to purchace them, and thats why there are so many topics on it.. if you don't no the answer just skip without insulting people, who may have less knowlege about hybrids or may not know how to use this forum in the first place... many here think they know so much about cars, and they miss the point that people come here to learn what they don't know and tell what they do know... sadly for those people, there arn't many forums in Sri Lanka therefore they either end up here and get insulted or find some international forumes where they are most welcome...

Well put it this way, anyone person doing series off road driving will know that its impossible to use a luxury SUV made for road use on xtreme terrains. Therefore they buy old used Japanese SUVs (as they are cheap and easier to modify) completely strip them out and modify to be used off road. Another reason that they use these models because they use very simple electronics which are easy to work with... Thats why you want find new SUVs used for proper off roading... put a normal prado, land cruiser V8 and it will get stuck no doubt (will upload some pics from yala)... best off road jeep I have driven is a 2 door nissan Y60 completely kited... you can put it to almost any terrain and it will overcome without problems... That is done by Toyota as a promo... Check out Porsche Cayenne Transiberia races... thats proper off roading races...

by the way does it have height adjustable air suspensions?

looks very good machan... conglats on the purchase... if I were you, I would change the multimedia display and put one with a larger screen. You can bring down a genuine one from UK. or a really good quality one from Taiwan. Don;t go for the Chinese ones that is available in SL.

got a 2008 Santa Fe, done 60,000 km and the needs engine over haul and suspensions are gone... its a problem in the model, been using it well and always use super diesel... they might have solved those issues in the current models. Hyundai and Kia are pretty much the same thing inside...

I'm to get a permit from my cousin, I thinking to go for a 3 series, even without basic options its a great machine, but knowing that there will be a model change is it worth? X1 to me is ugly and its tiny... The Land Rover Freelander looks good, but the agents aren't that renowned for their service and too many probs with British cars compared with the German's.. is it the HSE that they are offering?
