Yes! Someone I know was fined for a similar reason. The Sinhala wordings in the ticket goes "riyaduru sitiya yuthu thana". Couldn't stop laughing for days!
Our diligent and humane police staff wrote a ticket to a cousin when he went to get the number plate fixed. He had the front number plate leaned in to the windscreen from the dashboard. Reason? The number plate should be displayed in the proper place. These imbeciles don't need a "proper" reason to write a ticket.
A friend of a friend had a hard time finding engine mounts for his Mark II Grande (YOM 2000). Bugger is importing from Singapore now. Apparently it has some kind of gel or summat.
Mazna Motors in Pepiliyana. Call Lalith - 0714242464 / 0115564031. They're a bit expensive but quite reliable. Call or go there and ask for a rough estimate.
Machang, I'm not contesting what type of cars should people buy depending on their age group
A whorehouse will still be a whorehouse no matter how many euphemisms you invent. That my friend is a fact!
And Sara, usually people don't get a subie for their fuel efficiency. You're better off not getting one unless you plan to rev these motors. Tis like Angelina Jolie getting married to George Michael you know ... so messed up.
I find this Axio hatred quite disturbing. Specially when the darn thing comes with mirrors for wanking. What more a man could ask for is beyond me. IIRC, when a loaf of bread was 3.50/= queues where smaller. Much much smaller.
Interestingly WAIs present a flip side view of this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warm_air_intake
Disregarding the fact that what-people-do-to-their-machines-to-get-that-extra-kilometer the engineering behind this is quite intriguing. Too bad the research paper referenced in the above Wikipedia article is not readable. Must be something there beside boring math part
