Nissan Tida Or Toyota Belta
AbeysinghE replied to lahiru_carlover's question in Car Buying Information
Nissan is well know for it's suspension problems in Sri Lanka. As Kavvz pointed out it's may be due to the condition of the roads..But my personal experience is that Toyotas gives less headaches when comparing with Nissan regarding suspensions. Apart from this, the only plus factor on Toyota is the better fuel consumption than Nissan...I like the interior of Tiida and It's handing. But it's exterior looks like an Indian car for me..Just my personal view. -

My friend. You should not be worried about what other people have to say about your purchase. If you are happy, then enjoy it. Why you are trying to stand for Vezels? Haters will not love it even if you try your maximum to show others how good the vehicle is. As The Don pointed out It's just wasting your valuable time. I didn't buy a Vezel coz it didn't impressed my needs. i don't think it's a bad vehicle by any means..It's all about personal preferences..but one thing is for sure..If you continue this thread, you can convert yourself from Newbie to a Member just within no time..

Yes you can..but not easy as Viva Elite...as Kelisa is not so frequently used as Viva.

Don't rely on what trip computer indicates..It's like trusting the weather report of meteorology department

Let's be reasonable guys..I was driving a Prius second generation from 2011 to 2013 solely because I was doing approximately 100 kms per day..I didn't want to save fuel considerably as my target was to achieve at least above 15 kmpl..I drove it at decent speeds always and I'm a hard accelerator always. So my fuel saving hybrid machine trip computer always shows figure around 16-17 kmpl, while all of my friends' cars did around 23 kmpl..they were arguing that my car has a serious issue due to fuel figures. Finally i sold it for 3.1 million after two years..In fact 200k more than the price I bought it when the clock indicating 128000 kms.. Some people buy hybrids for a reason...my reason to use a hybrid was over and immediately I changed the car. So as VVti pointed out not every hybrid driver a moron and surely a lot of morons riding hybrids these days.. i can't understand what's the logic behind slow driving? Is it just to save fuel or most of the hybrid drivers are not experienced enough to drive..

100% agree with you..I drove a Vezel yesterday and it was the first time had a long ride with it..though I had test driven it few months back..here what I felt. 01.Harsh ride. Didn't feel comfortable for it's category. 02.Sound insulation. 03.Slower pickup and felt very under powered when climbing uphill. 04.Not so smooth in handing when doing bends. Overall It's good for general day to day use...but not to have a feeling of a so called SUV

Lol.. .you got that spot on my friend...

Just my personal experience as I was in Malaysia for almost 3 years...Perodua is not at all a bad car..If the agent providing spare parts at a reasonable price, I would say it's a better choice than going to a brand new Indian crap..
-
wow axio is doing 19-20 kmpl??? If it does average 13-15 kmpl also you consider that you are lucky...BTW..coming back to your question, I think a proper engine tuneup would help a bit of improvement...
-
I'm seriously doubt about the future of this car...still too early to comment on this...
-
I think this is the improved version of Malaysian domestic version Myv...
-
you made exactly the right point here...sadly most of the people think that it's a SUV...and the good news is the Vezzels I was referring were sold out like hot cake...
-
wiring should be there mate...even our one didn't have it...we fixed it from a car parts selling place...there is a place reserved for fog lamp switch in the dash board near the A/C switch.
-
Good point you made here...for me even though Yaris is an International version made in Japan..I prefer Vios for it's extra bit of engine power...

wet look on what??????

Yah it's difficult to sell brands other than Toyota in Sri Lanka...But not FB15..It's still a fast moving car in Sri Lanka..
-
As Schiffer said you can get a pair for Rs 1000 from car parts shops...I fixed a pair to my wife's Chevrolet Cruze for just 900 bucks from Kurunegala..I think for a swift a same kind of Fog light bulb suits. If you go for the company, naturally it's over priced...

I just went through the topic from start to the end...just got a feeling that If a person can afford nearly 4-5 million for a hybrid, why not extra 1 million...as some of the members pin pointed, I guess most of those importers stretched their budget up to the maximum possible...anyway the amount of tax increment also not fare enough I think...I have some friends who bought Vezzels for 6 million and was crying when it came down to 4.7 million...now they are very happy. On the other hand , people who bought Vezzels for 4.5 to 4.7 million and who are not happy with the performance now selling them for 5 million, keeping extra 300k profit... what a stupid turn around of the hybrid vehicle market...
-
Correct what you said..I also had same feeling..and having a hybrid is more economical in that way.
-
I'm not an owner of a Nissan Leaf..but I have a friend of mine who uses a Nissan leaf for almost 6 months now...He says he normally does average of 1500 km per month and his extra electricity cost apart from his household usage is around Rs. 15,000.00 . So my general calculation is Rs.10 per KM...I don't know If this is realistic...This is based on what he says...

Buying Car Around 2.7 Million
AbeysinghE replied to lahiru_carlover's question in Car Buying Information
Yes...I accept the fact that it's not too comfortable...but it has more pleasurable ride than my Allion...just my personal feeling...
