Hi Guys, When im searching for Toyota wagon in autolanka i came a cross with followings models. ee102,ee103,ee104,ee106 most of them called those as "Elephant back " too. Can anyone please be kind enough to compare above models n let me know the differences. is there any known issues with these models cause im looking forward to buy one of these. Yeah no prob with suburban roads..but some steep places are hard to pass..simple example is our garage entrance used by KE72, ford laser is now hard to enter by this fb14 without little crashing noise under the rear seat

from which place this height is measured?

thanks for all... im having tyres of 13 inches. is this the factory fitted tyre size for fb14 (1997) ex saloon . adding 15 inch may give some benefit and local grages use metal bush (abt 1 inch) between shock and body to give some height.

we bought this FB14 (1998) few weeks ago and garage told me that i have to replace shocks very soon.. now i have realized that vehicle is having low ground clearence.. Is fb14 having low grnd clearence comparing to other cars or does it cause by defect shocks.

Thanks TIV, actually thing is my brother told me when m asking abt LR s he said "don't buy local restored defender luking 90".but he is not expert on LR his type is mitsuibishi.. dtz y i emphasize it.. but seems ur a fan and expert on LR so its nice to meet u. is there any considerable difference between performance or reliability between restored 90 and defender 90 except YOM.

what is the market price of a DEFENDER 90, m not asking about restored defender lukng old LR station wagons or brand new defenders..i know its hard to say fixed price but guys plz just tell me a range..defender 90 came after 90s ne..so what will be the present market price of a defender made in that time.

What is this sahara jeep..it is very famous in gem businessmans in Ratnapura. They all talk about sahara brought by others and waiting for a gem to buy a sahara for them. i know most of sri lankans do not know what to buy. Urban people living in cinemongardens buy big heavy v8 landcrusires to drop their kids to school wasting money and poluting enviroment. But in rural like ratnapura some may need comfort 4 wheel drive to visit gem mining places in wild. anyway those are not my business. What i want to know is what is this sahara. Is it well known LC or someting different ? If yes what makes it soo different THERE ARE NO QUESTIONS LIKE STUPID QUESTIONS as my teacher told me once ;-)

i m not willing to make profits from vehicles and i do take good care of my wheels too..my old wagon (ke72) i bought for 550k and sold for 600k after 5 years. For whole 5 years i have spend nearly 50 000 rps for vehicle.i am happy about that deal.(although i know the change of value of ruppees :-) ) but i don't think that i will be able to have such deals with these modern vehicles cz they say japs dont make their wheel to turn nearly 10 years without replacing big piece like engine. is it true?.. my cousin have this lancer ex and brought brand new from unimo..but it is shit..always replacing sensors n all electronic gadgets..

i am new to this autolanka forum. This may be seems stupid question but as a guy who don't have much money to buy a vehicle that last only few years this is important to me. i have two wheels one toyo dx wagon (ke72) and Mitsubishi 4dr5 (j24).check them out. both are made 80s but still i drive those with little running repairs and didn't even touch engine and gear box. both had passed smoke test also. recently i hav sold my 16 sri wagon for 600K and i wish to buy a vehicle around 1.6 Million. May be a vitz or swift .(if u have any good suggestions than this plz let me know ).But these vehicles are normally registered in around 2002. so now its 2011 and these nearly 10 years old. Do you think that i will be able to drive these vehicles also for another 10 years without engine and gear box repairs and sell it for a worth price. cz lot of ppl saying that now a days life time of a vehicle is 5 - 10 yrs. If this swift, vitz not capable of this is there any vehicles that full fill my need ? Thanks a lot.
