If you can stretch your budget for a CS2, and if i was in your situation of choosing between a EK3 and a CS2 i would go for a CS2 power wise the CS2 is more balanced and even a Auto gives u 10+ on fuel (please don't expect more than 12) i don't know about others, but i have found the CS2 is a bit more comfortable and quieter compared to a EK3 (but mind you the I've driven is a 1997 or so) so basicaly. if its between EK3 and CS1.go for a Vtec EK3 if its between EK3 and CS2 go for the CS2 This is just my opinopn. Compared to Japanese cars, Korean cars are relatively not that good but. the Accent is not a bad car at all. it wont be a reliable and solid as a Japanese or fun to drive as a euro but it has its good points. The Hyundai accent is a good all rounder for your needs. it does 10+ on fuel both the KIA Rio and the accent have strong market value these days since both the cars are reasonably priced. Spares are freely available for both of them as well. downside on both the cars are The interior build quality is a bit low and the leg space and all is nothing to brag about. Other cars i would suggest that will meet your needs are: Proton Wira Ford Laser BG series Mazda Familia 323 BG series Nissan Presea - fuel consumption will be around 8-10kmpl

if its a Vtec, id say go for the civic, Honda's are reliable and the Vtec version are quite economical as well. but if its a non vtec, go for the CS1.(better if its manual)

Well, when i switch on the car to the ON position and after the ABS light switch off a mechanical motor sound comes. is this normal? i haven't experience this in any other car i owned/driven so far

@GTAm - a little piece of advice machan, use a stabilizer. LED and LCD TV's do tend to go quick with over currents.
