Hello friends After servicing my car on last Sunday, A/C blower fan (close to cubbyhole) made a rattling noise. After some inspection I found few baby rats on the blower fan. They had used the air cleaner as their bed and bought some paper from outside for more comfort. Anyhow after removing them, everything worked fine. But from today morning there is a problem again. When I turn on the car (move key from acc to on position ) a bad sound comes from engine compartment. Please help me to figure out what the problem is. Thanks

If you have correct tools with you , installation is really easy. I wired it to the park light connecter at the lamp end without cutting wires. My FB15 has a blank slot for a bolt close to left side headlamp. There is a small bracket coming with light pole to attach it to the car. Don't hesitate to do it yourself friend. It is a really easy task.

What I got is just a transparent plastic pole with blue color LED. Its package says "Light Pole". As "JayZ" has mentioned we can get it fixed easily too.

My car is a FB15 super saloon manufactured in 1998. Is this coming with a timing chain or timing belt? At what mileage do I need to replace that?

Will a car start with power supplied at reverse polarity? For this to happen , there must be a rectifier in between battery and the starter motor. Or else At reverse polarity starter motor must turn in the reverse direction(clockwise or anticlockwise).Will engine start in the reverse direction?

Hello friends, I recently saw that when we jump start a car, the negative terminals of the charged battery and dead battery are not directly connected(shown in attached image). Is there any specific reason behind this? What is wrong with connecting negative terminals directly?

That's a good idea too. you may refer to the Chinese security systems available here, what I don't like to add my car at the moment. At first I'll try my best to find another key and get it programmed ,if the price is reasonable. I'll keep your suggestion as plan B. Thanks Friend.

Thanks in advance for the advice Isuru. I tried the Smart Entrance Control Unit test you mentioned above. It works fine . (It worked in very first try) What Should I do as the next step? If my key is not working , is there a way I can get a new key for a reasonable price?

FB15 super saloon Manual Transmission 1500CC MFY : 1998 Car is little lazy in acceleration when I start to move (First gear). After accelerating, car runs in a quite normal manner. Hello Friends, Car is a FB15 super saloon. Both mirrors are working well when I retract the mirrors. But left side mirror has a problem in protracting.What can be the reason for this? Do I need to go to a mechanic or will I be able to troubleshoot it? I don't know how to disassemble a mirror. Any ideas friends. Thank You.

Hello friends, I'm writing this just for your information. I have been searching a used car for around 15 lakhs from last three months.Found a Nissan N16 in autolanka classifieds for 16.5 lakhs. Here goes the details of the car (What I can remember by now) Registration No : GD-XXXX Color : Green Engine Capacity : 1300CC Transmission : Manual MFY : 2000 I went to see the car to owners place and its condition was not that good due to following reasons. 1 . Repainting done with a bad quality 2 . Mileage : 240,000 Km Additionally it was an open papers car(I know something bad is hidden always). Anyway I made an offer of 15.5 lakhs and owner was ok with that offer. But I decided not to buy it at the end of the day. Few weeks back I saw the car in a sale close to Nugegoda and I visited the place just to have a look. They had done interior and engine compartment cleaning. Additionally I saw that odometer reading is 124,000 Km. Their price for the car is 18.5 lakhs now. I believe that this is useful for people who are planing to go for used cars. My personal opionion is 1 . Open papers cars 2 . Used cars in car sales Are dangerous.It's up to you to decide.

I checked the fuse box of my car and I couldn't find the relevant fuse and relay.But I notice that fuse called "anti theft" is missing (I suspect this is the relevant fuse).Then I placed the fuse of the horn to the anti theft fuse slot and tried the key. It didn't work for me. Isuru, can you please post the locations of the units you mentioned in the reply (Smart Entrance Control Unit (Receiver), Multi-Remote Control Relay ,Fuses).

Hello friends, I recently bought a FB15 Super Saloon (1998 model) and its key has a remote door locking function on it, but not working at the moment. I checked the battery on the key and it has not been discharged. Can someone provide me a way to troubleshoot the remote locking function. Thank you.

Hi, I'm planning to buy a Nissan Caravan (Diesel) for around 1.5M. Purpose is to rent it for a sales agent who will run around 3500Km/month. What I can get for my budget is a vehicle manufactured before 1990.With a income of 35000 from the van , will I be able to maintain this kind of a vehicle for 2-3 years as a profitable business? I have no Idea about the maintenance expenses for the vehicle specially the engine repairing expenses since it is an old one.
