    This is one of my fears as well since i also have to park under the hot sun whole day. I use a Mc Foil windscreen protector on the front so dashboard is pretty much covered. And for the leather interior i use a leather care conditioner once a week. so far so good But really dont like parking under sun, but its less worrying than parking under a tree and end up with all the bird droppings. :jumping-smiley-013:

    Dude my 2L V6 auto does arnd 8 Km/L. U better check. May be due to brand new engine need some time until it gets up to its full potential. But it should do around 13 -14 Km/L if im not mistaken.

    I think u have to pay 2laks up front when ordering Viva. Might vary depending on the model though. And Viva does have a ok legspace in the back. Would accommodate 2 grownups comfortably and 3 once squeezed in. viva is more bigger than Also. I am not even fitting in the front seat of Alto.

    Laughs Service centers ... They do a pretty ok job, but make sure you properly inspect while they doing it. full Interior cleaning would be like 4.5k with leather cleaning.

    Tnx buddy, yap thats what i also thought. These rings also come with 2 HID ballasts. And i already have 2 more for the HID kit already installed. Powering 4 ballasts would cause any problem ?

    I checked few TP12's recently. These go around 1.9 - 2.1 Mil. Car is pretty solid and good pulling power. :angry-smiley-048: But dont expect much fuel economy with this. Must be doing around 7 - 8 Kmpl in colombo.

    Viva is brand new and Passo comes as it is with most probably re clocked odo. And of course the price viva would be around 1.6 Mil where as a passo would be over 2.3 ? I have driven the Viva elite Auto version. not a bad ride for the bucks. No idea about the passo driving.

    The car im talking about is a Mondeo Ghia 2004 and was able to bring down the offer to 1.65 Mil. I checked with a mechanic and no any mechanical faults and as per the request the owner got a diagnostic report from DPMC al well. According to DPMC report also its in very good shape. Yes for this price i cud go either for a 110 for fuel economy or a 406. But not definitely the 110 P.S. Im looking for a Auto

    Yes i was hunting for Passat too. 1.8 Turbo does very poor on petrol as i heard. Avg 6/7 per ltr. And theres a 20 V 2.0 L non turbo model bit hard to find which does some what ok. Avg 9-10 per ltr.

    Thanks for the generous replies guys really appreciate I managed to get details about few places who deals Mondeo spare parts in SL and workshops. Also got some contacts who can get down parts from Singapore and Dubai. I think i am not allowed to share those info in the forum. So if anyone need IM me. Still in a doubt to go for the Mondeo or not

    Yes, can get it off ebay but for every part requirement im thinking the practicality of it. even if i order it would take close to 1 week to bring it down. folks are saying there are 4 -5 places in panchikawatta and they have most of the parts. should dig more in to it though

    @ Sifaan: One of my uncles had a Diesel 406 with a auto box. No one could repair it so he had to get down the whole transmission n replace. cost was over 7 laks Also this i heard from many people about the 406 and 307 auto.

    Really appreciate the info guys I also came across a 1998 E 36(318i) with auto transmission. I know 406 sealed type auto boxes are very much expensive to maintain. Is this true with BMW's as well ?

    Thanks Supra, BM's are nicer cars but finding a good one (at least a model after 1998)for around 1.6M is the hard part. The owner of the Mondeo was telling there are 4 -5 places in panchikawatte who's dealing Mondeo parts. Is 150k on the clock is a very big amount for this sort of a car ?

    Guys, appreciate your expertise on the Ford Mondeo Ghia 2004 model. Is Ford Mondeo a very hard to maintain car ? Even when compared to audi,BMW, VW or Passat we rarely see a Mondeo on SL roads. This worries me a lot about going for the Mondeo .... I cam across a well looked after 2004 Ghia model with 150k on the clock. Car sounds and drives very well. Any advice about the parts availability and maintenance highly appreciated.
