The problem is I bought the vehicle from a local sale (Honda vezel) with 21 Kms on ODO. What they said was "Karanawanan Hondai". Then rang the Stafford motors and asked em. They diverted my call to a service supervisor and what I got was "Karanawanan Hondai Sir". There was this uncertainty in their answer not a solid "Yes" or "Karanna one".

Hi Automotive Gurus, Please advice me on whether is it necessary to do the first 1000Km service for a brand new vehicle? What's the purpose of it? If it's a must what should I do or get done when at the service? Thanks in advance

Guys! I'm on the market for a vehicle these days. Maximum I could go for is 7M. In return I'd expect a good looking reliable sedan car with spacious interior. Fuel economy is not an issue. Set my eyes on Mazda 6 but I'm worried about spare parts and reliability. Could anyone shed some light? Is Mazda 6 a good vehicle for daily drive. Any current owners? Appreciate your feed back. Having said that, are there any other vehicles I can opt in for the given budget?

My two cents. If you don't mind buying from a third party source except the agents with the same warranty I can suggest you a place which has a offer for Samsung 40in SMART TV 3D for 135k. I've done business with these guys and they are quite good!

That was told to the OP. (Apologies if sounded retard) What I wanted to tell was it's pointless to make predictions as it solely depends on what MR feels. Two weeks before when I asked from my Uncle who works in the ministry of finance told me that they have no plans to increase or decrease the taxes for vehicles , but was told that will depend on the pressure put on MR by the vehicle importers. (I questioned him about the reduction of taxes as I'm planning to buy a vehicle)

Well I cannot confirm the fact that they will increase the duty by another 10% but can confirm that there won't be any reduction in taxes as the GOV is barely managing to import fuel at this stage and trying to minimize the deterioration of foreign reserves!

Well to add the two cents of mine on "Warnapala Theory", basically what happened was a guy called Warnapala in the Peradeniya University had a crush on one of his batch mates. But non of the usual methods worked. Consequently he made his hide out in the Hilda Obesekera Hall and when ever the girl went to the Sangamiththa girls hostel, he yelled out "Aa... Warnapalas it a, where are you going" or "Aa... you are in love with Warnapala no?" A girl who gets hitched once can not get re-hitched according to the unwritten laws of campus. -

Yep it holds the vehicle for like 5secs and you have enough time to reach the accelerator. Brake will be released when you apply enough power to roll on.
