I know.... the body kits are not exactly my taste, I just want to know if he does a good job in blacking out the rear lights. He is known to do this but need to see if its good quality. Also I have no idea how its done.

Hey Timmy.... have u bought any bike ? I am now looking one for myself, and found a used Corvette branded bike with the following.. Alu frame, rapid fire shifters ( shimano ), quick release wheels, front suspension ( quite good). But no disc brakes and no rear suspension. The price is Rs 25k, is this a good price ?

Guys this Dumind*a Body kit guys do " blacked out lights " . I have been thinking of this option but not sure if its any good . ( I mean the illumination etc ) Has anyone got experience in doing this ? please share thanks..

I have heard the time calculated fine at the exit point story as well, it makes perfect sense and quite easy for the cops. No cameras, no speed guns and waiting in the hot burning sun by the side of the road.. Anyway the best is to to stick to the speed limit, also your chances of avoiding a dog is much better and you avoid getting copped. Most guys having accidents are due to speeding ( beyond 100kmph) and cannot control the car, but they don't exactly tell the whole story when it happens. Most cars can comfortably break from 100 without too much of an issue.

Engine check should be orange but that clearly looks red.... possibly the seat belt.

Also.... You are a great guy to have tried to avoid killing the dog... Although I am a animal lover I would have not taken that risk knowing that your child is in the car. Better option would have been to just slam down on the breaks, and let the ABS take care of the rest... and for the noise of the screeching tyres the dog would react.. Also note that a dogs instant reaction is to back away and not move forward, but a cow will contine straight whatever happens... So if a dog is crossing from the right side of the road to left never sway the car to the right.. as the dog also will head in the same direction. Do the reverse if a cow jumps....

Thanks for sharing this.... Btw what was the speed you were traveling and the type of car when it happened ? Just so that we have a better idea.... If I remember correctly for a 3rd party claim u need to be found guilty at a court for your insurance to pay the RDA. And you are clearly not at fault for trying to avoid a dog, so Insurance should have settled the full amount and they cannot cut and chop like they do for repair estimates.... Also taking 5 hours to come is totally not acceptable. Fight with the insurance guys and dont give up.... they will try all possible stunts to not pay, so make a lot of noise, they don't like that and just might pay u to shut up....

You need to be a bit crazy to own and drive a Sti, it comes with the package I guess.... Seen so many Stis wrecked by drivers pushing it to the limit, so much that insurance companies now think twice when you say Sti. I don't think it lets you go due to the speed cut at 180 or 170, unless u had it removed ?

Yes very J... There are hundreds of rules but these are put to control people... for example whats the speed limit around Colombo or any other road other than the E01. Everyone breaks them, and I am sure even u would have done it. But some people like to show off to everyone that I can drive fast or I have a super car... that's why guys take pics of the speedo at 260, or the RX8 guy saying he did 200 or 220km, that's ok, let them have their moment of glory and no point you stressing over it .

I honestly cannot remember the exact how it happened.... but just like that it could happen to anyone, even your friend Bugatti with all his driving skills as you claim, may find it difficult to get out of such a situation ( steering or break failure or a burst tyre) when at 220. But at 100 it maybe bit more manageable... And this is the point Sajith83 is trying to stress. Most of us may drive fast, and its no big deal driving at that speed on clear open road if the car is capable of it, but a few are cocky enough to brag about it......

Supercharging will reduce the turbo lag, but extra effort taken by the engine to drive the supercharger, so its good for big engines like V6 GTR etc.. Supercharging a 2 ltr car may not be effective ( my guess only) and its better to run the turbo it with free exhaust air...

You are right there is some issue with the agents valuation, and that's why the 110 double cab price is much higher than a L200 also imported from Uk. But it will be a matter of time when they start making them in India.

This will not be covered under insurance unless you specifically ad on a windscreen cover...
