Not really my opinion sylvi. Just the facts, you will notice that i mentioned the good and bad points of both cars. The corolla IS more comfortable and the quality of interior, bodywork etc IS better even though it is 8 odd years older the maruti. The maruti only has cheaper spares going in its favor. Even so we have barely spent any more on the corolla than we have on the maruti.

A friend went on the expressway and maintained a constant speed of 180.. Slowed down when he saw the cops with the speed guns, no average time fine at the end though :/

You want a jap car, but you could find an bmw e30 for that budget. Looks great, have heard that its a bulletproof car. Of course these cars need to be maintained properly so you have to look carefully for a properly maintained one. Even after you get it the parts will be a bit more expensive but thats the price you pay for the prestige i guess.

Well over the past year, i have spent most of time in my ten year old ae110 and an Maruti alto sports. And id have to say the jap is a better car. Like someone said its just the even though the jap cars are older they were manufactured in a 'higher grade' than the cheaper indian ones. That being said the Maruti is also an excellent car; very little maintenance, parts are cheap, drives ok. However it just isnt as comfortable or nice as the corolla. Dont know about the Viva, but ive heard good things about it so that looks like your best option if you want a brandnew car.

Thats for the ae110 crystal light though.

Well i did a quick search on the AL buy section and looks like the prices range from 2-2.3 mil. So if its a perfect condition car around 2.3 mil is the price they must be expecting. Do keep us posted though..

Owned by a friend. It is a sexy car they spent almost 1.5 mil modifying it. I think they used lamborghini indicator lights too, not sure though.

The fuel efficiency it only seems to be off by 1-2 kmpl so im not worried. As for the milaege our car has done 147,000km and my dad bought it recon. The corolla has a legendary local status man, so many people have told us that if we ever decide to sell it should be gone in 1-2 days. Even when my dad goes to the petrol shed the guys over there want to know if we want to sell the car.

A uncle had one of these. I dont much about these but in his car there was a major gearbox issue and he sold it finally. I dont know if this a model specific issue, maybe someone who knows more can comment..

Been using the ae110 for 10+ years now and all i can say is that it is a solid car. Honestly i think itll run forever. Its very reliable, fuel efficient (ours is auto and it does 8kmpl with AC on) and i think its one of the best looking cars from that era. Go for the corolla man.

Why do you want to start saving up for one? Mind you itl take a lot longer than 2 years, take a loan mate.

Thanks for the reply 'ripper' A fried actually has a Loncin 90q motorcycle but he wants around 90,000 for it. It seems worth because its done only 500kms.. Do you guys think the deal is good or can i find a much better motorcycle for that much?

What about brasso? I have used it to wipe off the paint marks on my car from a similiar accident. It worked but with limited success, not all the paint came off. Not sure about scratches though..
