I do apologize for the delay of this thread .Finally found some time to post it.After a lot of ups downs and a lot of support from other petrol heads the build was successful .. so let me start from the start........ This is the base car A little bit of history-The has been in the family for the last six years.First owner is my grandfather and it was never transfered after that. After all of those years of usage the car was in bad shape.rust was coming out of all over the place so first things first started off with the rust..stripped the car down to its bare metal and started off with the tinkering all of the floor boards the firewall and doors were tinkered lkl While the tinkering bit was been attended to did some custom work Built a custom member brace And this is the finished member brace After the member brace started work on a adjustable strut bar. This is the finished strut bar Paint work was the thing that took the longest time..The car was scraped to the metal and then oil primer was apllied This pic was taken in the night right after the final coat was appllied The engine was taken out and the 1200 was bored to 1400.A custom oil cooler setup and an air intake manifold was fabricated for a coldair ram intake manufold

Yes komi will do asap.Will be taking the car to that guy you mentioned for the tuneup. Looking at getting the headers done too.As for the rear coil conversion will have to wait till next month. Yss hoonigan for the moment only the front ones..There is a set of rear ones for sale for 25k.

Yep it was built from scratch.The bumpers were beyond repair thats why i had to go with black paint...painted the headlamp rims in black to suit as they were also not in good condition.Butthe beading and the rest of the chrome bits are all good

Still didnt go for it..just finished the resto on the car..since there were tiny engine upgrades and a lot more to come braking has become quite an issue...

Davy the ones which i have metioned above one is from a lancer box..only the disc could be bought from ebay for (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brembo-Brake-Disc-MITSUBISHI-Lancer-I-1-4-A72V-75-to-79-/330366560764?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ceb61a9fc). Also tried to fabricate a set of ck2 discs but my tire rodsare in the back so it was not possible

38k was the lowest i got.also the calipers have corroded...so even if i buy them have to restore it..

Guys my lancer A72 has drum brakes in the front..The brakes are not very effective after so many years of usage..i plan to upgrade them to discs..I searched panchikawatte for a suitable set...found two but both quoted insane prices..they needed to be restored aswell..just need to know if i could try a different model even if fabrication is needed Thanks in advance
